We've spoken to customer and he's advised us that he's taking the car back to the dealer he had just bought it from for $***It was acknowledged that bolt was broken due to a previous repair that was done incorrectly to the car and caused
bolt to be cross threaded (damaged)Unfortunately, *** Warranty would not authorize this additional repair, customer did not want to pay for additional work required, and selling dealer was going to help out until he started hearing threats that customer was going to *** with thisBeyond this, we have no history on the car as it was purchased from another local dealer from someone outside our areaCustomer advised us that he's had a lot of problems with the car since buying it and it was agreed that he should go back and talk to selling dealer to try and resolve thisAs far as we know, this is what customer has done as we haven't heard anything different sinceWe apologized for any inconvenience this has caused the customer, however, we ended up caught in the middle*** it took *** Warranty approx week to authorize the initial repair to customers car and once we were given authorization we ordered the parts for which the local ** dealership took another days to get as the parts were back-orderedAdditionally, we were given a quote from an outside shop that it would take up to hours (possibly) to remove bolt from engine as we don't have the tools to perform this type repairHopefully customer has resolved everything with the selling dealerPlease let us know if we can help out in any wayThanks

Yes I have had a few issues with the car since I purchased it, this is the first I've heard of the part coming from *** according to *** they ordered the part from ***And *** gave the authorization the day after I took it in according to them (***)
Either way whether the *** down threaded up threaded THEY (***) broke it off, and how can they tell it's cross threaded if the bolt broke off (due to them) and they cannot remove it wouldn't this be an assumption?
Upon talking to *** further they lied to them and completely threw me under the bus, telling *** they (***) made me sign a waiver I quote " For safety precautions, the repair centre required *** to waive his decision not to repair."

This wouldn't have be resolved earlier as I never posted anything negative until they refused to fix it I rated it a ** (without comment until later)

And to be exact there were about 138,xxx kms on the car that is not ALOT for being "ancient" (***)

I have payed my mechanic to replace the passenger side axel seal (that they reused) ***

It's never our intention to mislead any customer. If this did happen we sincerely apologise!
The vehicle[redacted] was interested in was a Chrysler Program Vehicles and as such:
-they're vehicles that had never been registered in a...
customer's name; and
-warranty had started
We certainly value all of our existing, referral or new customers opinions and input. We take pride in being a small town dealership family owned and operated with a 'full disclosure' policy which is adhered to in our advertising, website and by all staff.
Therefore; we will begin to take action on the Chrysler Program Vehicles 'demo/loaner/courtesy transportation vehicles':
-Label the vehicle 'Chrysler Program Vehicle'; and
-Make note of the In Service date / Warranty Start date in the description; and
-Move the 'OAC, plus freight, fees and tax' up in to the description, instead of where it currently sits
The vehicle has since sold, which is why the ad no longer appears on [redacted] or our website.

The first statement of Amherst Chrysler's reply to this complaint states, "It's never our intention to mislead any customer.
When both their [redacted] and Amherst Chrysler Web site ads state the "Vehicle PRICE" as $[redacted] and then their onsite quote states "Vehicle PRICE" as $[redacted],[redacted]
I would be pleased. as would all potential customers, if Amherst Chrysler would post ethical prices on any vehicle in the future but I will never be satisfied with the deception of this "attempted" sale. Note that I don't think their price was unreasonable, even after it jumped $[redacted] above their advertisement, [redacted]
