Work done on this project was tough from the beginning, I was contacted by [redacted] who I have done work before on another project. She asked if I would be willing to help her remodel her master bathroom. I explained at the time that I really didn't have time to take on this project, But I did...

agree to help on project payment terms where on a Labor only process and a little different due to the fact that we didn't bill weekly. Her mom who was paying for remodel didn't want to have a lot of billings, Which didn't not bother me because we have done work for [redacted] before and had no issues getting paid.  The project was pretty basic she had a standard shower that was tiled and wanted a tub/shower fiberglass unit. Once we demoed out drywall and shower unit we found that there was a leak in plumbing in hall bathroom with about 48" of mold growing in wall and floor. [redacted] is allergic to Mold so I went and bought a product that will trap in mold spores and applied over mold areas. At this point the project came to a stop and told [redacted] we need a lic Mold contractor to do the removal of the mold, which she did she had Service Master do the mold abatement. Now at this point [redacted] had all her belongings now that needed to be removed from rooms which we as a company helped when [redacted] asked me to. She moved everything upstairs, once mold abatement was completed we both assessed the damage we had drywall patches in master, master bath, hall bath, and both back bedrooms. [redacted] had a idea of finishes that she wanted for bathrooms I contacted a plumbing contractor for her that did the plumbing for her, my company did the demo clean up from house as well as demoed out the big deck in the back of the house and drained removed the Jacuzzi from back yard, cut trees back and vines that where growing on her home. As well as demoed out the stairs due to dry rot. After plumber finished in both hall bathroom and master bathroom as well as installed new washer/dryer box, I had a Drywall guy come in and drywall and texture for [redacted]. My company helped with picking up material and helped [redacted] with the ordering process. Met with [redacted] at different stores to help design and pick out and use vendors that I use often in hopes to help her with cost. So now [redacted]'s house became a complete house remodel. At this time she was staying at a beach condo but need to be out by May 25th I did everything in my power to meet or beat that dead line, I even had my guys help load pods with all her stuff that she moved upstairs for the mold construction. that now had to be walked down to the street and put in the pods . We also Connected and disconnected [redacted]'s washer and dryer 2-3 different times trying to help her to be able to do laundry on the weekends for her and her kids. The time came to paint, [redacted] had the colors that she wanted. She handed me the color sample cards which in turn I gave them to Sherman Williams who made the paint for [redacted], We picked paint up and delivered to project for [redacted] who was nervous because her mother was coming to town and [redacted] had done more on her home then she had told her. (I don't know this for a fact just what [redacted] told me) So we hurried up and started spraying the primer and ceiling paint. [redacted] and her mother came looked very shortly Her mother thanked me for all the work we had done and I explained the back deck issues we where going to have with the sliding door water proofing, and she left. The next day [redacted] shows up by this time we had painted almost all of down stairs she was terrified that the color was not right, and that it was wrong! I called vendor he came out with in 1 hour he agreed there was a issue with pain it was a little darker then sample and gave [redacted] ALL new paint which again we picked up and vendor delivered. At this point [redacted] made it clear that she was not paying for labor that was used to paint because it was wrong... I told her I will take up with vendor and that was the last conversation on the paint. The next issue came into the drywall mud for some reason it didn't adhere to the existing texture, I called drywall guy and he came and fixed spots that were of concern. Another issue came up with corners again this was a hand texture and smooth flat wall the corners, and in this instance were existing and like everything else just a hand texture finish. [redacted] was not happy with corners drywall guy came back again and replaced corners again no charge. At this point I felt I could not finish project with [redacted]. so on May 10th,2016 we had a talk at the house which I gave her all the contact to continue and finish her project, we finished cleaning back yard and picked up materials at home depot for her so she wouldn't be left with a mess. At that time I talked to her about the billing. and that I would only bill her for the work on the backyard and interior work aside from the painting. We both agree at that time that this was satisfactory and that I at that point had nothing more to do with her project. She gave me a hug and said: "Thank you for handling it this way". A few days later I received a text message telling me that I, or one of my guys had broke her washer glass window... I did not argue I schedule a repair company to go out and replace or fix. I started getting other text about drywall, I forwarded messages to drywall contact info because I had nothing to do with that cause. Dry wall guy gave her a price and when it came time to pay she wanted to use a credit card, dry wall guy did not take credit card so I again stepped in trying to be helpful to her. She paid me his total through credit card,  and I in turn gave a check to drywall guy, which was for his bill, less taxes. The response I received from [redacted] is that she paid ME so its my problem... and have now continuously received numerous text message, harassing me and threatening me. She has yet to even pay for any of the work that was completed and agreed upon  when we parted ways, she has yet to even attempt to contact me regarding payment.

I could not be HAPPIER with the service from David K.and William and the whole staff at DW Construction. They did a TON of work for me and the way in which my pergola and electrical as well as plumbing turned out was TOP NOTCH. In a day and age where customer service and a persons WORD does not mean much I found David to be a man of his work and did EXACTLY what he said he would do. Anybody that is looking for a HONEST, TRUSTWORTHY, and PROFFESSIONAL person to do business with should pick up the phone RIGHT away and call Dave. He will be there to assist you and GO ABOVE AND BEYOND what is typical in business. I will HIGHLY recommend this company to all my family and friends without a doubt.

Complaint: 11452210
I am rejecting this response because:

D[redacted], thank you for FINALLY responding to my complaints regarding your substandard workmanship.  It gives me the opportunity to elaborate on my initial complaint to the Revdex.com. D[redacted] your response did not address my complaints, you only indulged in riddle talking to avoid dealing with the facts and matters at hand. So let's focus on the facts and documented evidence.
1. D[redacted] Kell, owner of DW Construction and his brother, W[redacted] INSTALLED NOT-TO-CODE ELECTRICAL OPEN SPLICES THROUGHOUT MY ATTIC!  They placed my children and I in eminent danger of a house fire !!  The can lights in the master bedroom and my son's room had open splices. They overload one circuit and had all of the electrical outlets and lights in the master bed, two bathrooms, hallway, entryway, son's bedroom, all 36 can lights and all receptacles on ONE CURCIUT!  There was no feed from the electrical panel. Their extensive dangerous electrical work put my entire family at risk.
We hired an electrician to completely review and analyzing all of the electrical work installed by D[redacted] and W[redacted]. the Electrician stated their gross negligence was astounding and he took a multitude of photos and stated he would write a report because the extensive amount of not-to-code electrical wiring was a threat to my home and placed us at risk for an attic fire. (I will be handing over this report to the state.) Should the Revdex.com like to communicate with him , I am happy to provide them with his contact information.
LET'S DIGRESS TO THE BEGINNING OF THE EXPOSURE OF DW CONSTRUCTION'S INCOMPETENCE...
2. As the General Contractor, D[redacted] was hired to oversee the remodeling of my home. D[redacted] neglected to prep my walls for drywall. As a result, the drywall did not adhere producing 12-15 large bubble holes dropping from my ceiling. When I asked D[redacted] why this was happening, he said, "I assumed since you just recently painted your walls that I didn't need to prep them".  He did scrap the bubbles off the ceiling , prepped it correctly ( I assumed), and then had it re-drywalled.
3. After I paid the drywallers D[redacted] hired $5,000 because he told me they had completed their job, I walked the home with D[redacted]. I immediately noticed and pointed out the many flaws and mistakes of drywall flecks left on the walls, trowel marks, substandard drywall clumps, drywall that had been carved around curtain rods rather then taking the curtain rods down, ceiling vents left installed/ covered in plastic then drywalled over, wobbly edges on the wall corners (too many to list). D[redacted] proceeded to use a black felt tip marker to make large circles around the obvious areas that needed to be redrywalled.  After two weeks of me along with other contractors in the home identifying flaws in the workmanship we thought it was finally done.
A week later, several walls of drywall had 80% of the drywall chip off and had cracks. A drywall contractor referred to me by the current contractors in my home came to observe what was wrong with the drywall. He said the walls were never prepped. I sent D[redacted] photos and told him I would give him the opportunity to fix the faulty drywall before I had to hired someone else to fix his work - D[redacted] never responded.
4. I walked into my home after being gone for one day to a catastrophic disaster of paint (both primer and paint) over spray on EVERYTHING including, all my exposed electrical outlets in EVERY SINGLE ROOM, exposed wall wires,  brand new exposed plumbing in both bathrooms, every single ceiling can for the recessed lighting and it's exposed wiring, all floors, fixtures, and hard wood floor planks throughout my entire home- all covered heavily in primer and paint from a spray gun. D[redacted] and his brother William (his employee) never masked off my home and it's fixtures for prep before they primmered and painted with a spray gun. In addition to not masking off the home, they also never sanded down and cleaned the walls after the drywall compound was applied to the walls - they just immediately painted over it.  Both of my bathrooms tubs and showers had 4 inch wide paint brush marks in satin gloss paint outlining around them, and large circles of shinny spots from unprofessional touchup with high quality paint over their mistakes. I h[redacted] never observed such a horrible paint job in my life.  I showed D[redacted] and William the obvious problems and D[redacted] proceeded to tell me that I was too picky and that that was all normal standard workmanship.
Concerned, I contacted a painting contractor I knew and asked him to walk the home to give me his objective opinion on the status of D[redacted]'s workmanship. He was astounded by what he saw and informed me that DW Construction was doing a "Hack Job" on my house and I needed to insist that my general contractor, D[redacted] Kell, owner of DW Construction fix the problems or bring in other licensed professionals to repair the damage and take over the completion of the remodel.
After I told D[redacted] I brought in a third party to give an objective opinion of the job he was doing and informed him that I expected him to elevate his standards to my standards which weren't unreasonable (I hired him because he represented himself as a professional licensed contractor and I expected professional workman). D[redacted] proceeded to inform me that he could "never please me" and he was walking away from the job. Quite frankly, to say I was relieved is an understatement.
5. He left my home in a state of  absolute catastrophic disaster. Clumps of drywall and paint all over my floors, messes everywhere, scattered supplies everywhere, everything he was working on was incomplete and in shambles and all of the above problems were still in a state of major damage. I brought in professional licensed contractors to start with reviewing, repairing and rebuilding the infrastructure so we could move forward with remodeling my home.
6. I h[redacted] since then hired a professional  painter (referred to me by other painters in the industry) who was astounded and has been diligent in taking photos of the countless grievous errors and untrained workmanship of DW Construction. He has spent countless hours, trying to cover the black ink marks from D[redacted]'s circles and writing on the walls, sanding over all of D[redacted]'s painting to repair the surface of the ceilings and walls, properly masking off and protecting all of our fixtures - all the while documenting his repairs with photos. I sent photo's to show D[redacted] the damage caused by the overspray to our electrical wiring and  fixtures - D[redacted] did not respond.
7. DW Construction OVERCUT 26 ceiling can light holes 1/2" too big on every ceiling down stairs; entryway, master bedroom, both of my children's bedrooms, the hallway, and two bathrooms. I took a picture of a ceiling can in an over cut hole as an example of all of the ceilings cans and sent it to D[redacted] informing him he over cut the holes and asked him why he didn't use the template that came with the can lights? - D[redacted] never responded.
8. When our tile contractor came to observe what needed to be done to prep the floors for tile setting, he informed me that the over spray of primmer and paint on the floors and clumps of drywall needed to be scrapped off the floors. The membrane for the tile could not adhere to the over sprayed paint on the floors and it would need to be scrapped off.  The original drywall company did come and clean their mess off the floor. I sent D[redacted] photo's of the paint over spray on the floor and asked him if he could scrap it off for the tile contractor - D[redacted] did not respond.
9. Our licensed painter is appalled to the point where he has insisted I turn D[redacted] in to the Consumer Affairs Contractors State Licensing Board because he is a bad contractor. The Painter has offered to go to court to testify against DW Construction. Should the Revdex.com like to communicate with him , I am happy to provide them with his contact information.
10. He cracked the glass door of my front loader washing machine. I sent him a photo of the cracked door. He did respond to this and sent a repair shop to view the crack. It still has not been fixed.
Currently, the following licensed contractors are working on my home: Tile contractors, granite installers, painters, drywallers, electricians, door fabricators, door installers, cabinet fabricators, water softening system installer, plumber, and once they h[redacted] completed their work....we h[redacted] window installers, and complete duct removal and air conditioning contractors followed by removal and replacement of the face of my home and balconies.  Due to the construction within my home my children and I are living elsewhere. It is blatantly obvious to everyone that my home is under a complete home remodel - including my parents who are covering 100% of the cost.

I am fortunate to be in a position to h[redacted] identified DW Construction is under-qualified to work on my home within a reversible window of time. Our current contractors are all reviewing, replacing and correcting all of DW Construction's inadequate and not-to-code work done to my home. They are all documenting their observations with photographs and reports/letters. My concern is for all of the other unsuspecting homeowners who h[redacted] hired DW Construction in the past who most likely h[redacted] not-to-code electrical wiring in their attics and whose families are at risk of a home fire. My concern is for future unsuspecting customers of DW Construction who will suffer from the financial hardship of substandard work, and risk to their homes from faulty electrical work.
D[redacted] is a very skilled talker - most con-artist are. For him to state that HE is being victimized because of the very pictures created by his substandard workmanship is laughable.
