I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.Mr*** Amick, owner and service technician came to our home to gather information in response to my request for the appliance to be fixed or removed from my homeMrAmick stood in my home as I witnessed him tell my husband, *** ***, that the water connection could be a contributing factor but he wcould not day for sure that it was the cause of the problem we were having with the washing machineHe never once stated in fact that the water system we had was the problemIn fact, without any tools on his person or effort made to remove the back of the machine, he offered a replacement appliance with no questions askedPer request of the customer, myself, of a full refund is when he refused any more serviceMrAmick just refused to return my phone calls at that pointAfter several weeks passed, MrAmick did offer a Maytag at a higher price, and Whirlpool with agitator at same price, and never stated the difference in cost was for delivery and serviceMrAmick never said that to meMrAmick also gave me no solid or rational reason as to why he would not provide a full refund for an appliance that he was willing to replaceThis is dishonest and bad business.

Response:Ms. [redacted] did purchase the Whirlpool washer on 5/27/2017. She called for a refund in mid September, stating that the washer wasn't performing properly. I was the technician on the call and found the washer operating to its design specifications, but also found the washer drain line installed...

improperly by the home owner. The washer is located in their basement and they installed the drain line from the washer directly into their main sewer line that comes down into the basement and then goes through the wall into the city's line. Where it makes a 90 to go through the wall is a clean out, they installed the drain hose into the clean out and silicone it shut making it both air and water tight. This created a "closed system", which in turn can cause siphoning, which could create the "washer coming on by itself" issue. I advised the [redacted]s of all of this and when she spoke with me10/20/2017 they had not completed the correction. A Maytag washer with an agitator trade was offered ( I did ask them to pay $100 to cover my labor for a basement delivery and they would now be getting a full year warranty with a new machine). They declined. I have notified Whirlpool of my findings.

Ms. [redacted] New purchased a Serta mattress without the box spring on 12/17/2015. It was the [redacted] firm in a full size. The [redacted] is in the value line of Serta and the firm has a stiffer spring and a thinner top.  Her 1st complaint was in February that the bed was squeaking.  We went and...

checked the bed and found her box spring (she did not buy a new box spring), to have a broken board and causing the squeaking. She purchased a new box spring. She then called this past summer and complained that she could feel the coils.  I went to her home myself to check the bed.  Serta does have a 5 year warranty against defect or a body depression 2" or greater. I found neither. On a firm style mattress you will feel the springs opposed to a euro or pillow top. I did purchase a mattress topper (egg crate), for her at no charge.  She calls a couple weeks latter saying she wants a refund. I did offer a similar age bed at no charge to her.
