Review: On July ** 2013 Amiran Van Lines pick up my Furniture from [redacted] in [redacted] and I received it in Florida on July ** 2013 . Amiran Van Lines delivered part of my move they have failed to deliver the most valuable items, I am missing the lawnmower, scooter and atv. They claim to have the scooter in their warehouse, promise to deliver it every week since July ** but it never gets here. The lawnmower and atv they cant find . they requested pictures of the items , I have emailed it to them. Everytime I call they transfer me to a new person. That person tells me they are going to look for the missing items, ship the scooter to me and to call them back in the morning it is always call me back in the morning . At this point I just feel like they are giving me the run around. The items have insurance on it but they don't want to put a claim at which point I wonder if they even have insurance.

I also forgot to mention they did assemble my furniture as promised ,screws and parts to my furniture, it was a complete disaster. The guys who picked up my furniture were really nice the ones who dropped it off (literally) were jerks.Desired Settlement: I just want this resolved so I can move on with my life. I would like them to reimburse me for the items. I don't want any more promises

Review: I hired them to move my stuff from Philly to Las Vegas. They picked up my stuff in May and have had it in storage since then. I called to schedule my move- 4 weeks ago- they asked that you call 2 weeks in advance of the move. I called on July ** and asked that it be delivered on Sunday the [redacted]. In the week leading up to the move, I began calling to confirm the move- starting on 8/**. No one answered my calls during that week nor did they call me back when I left messages. During that week I called 7 times. I then called on Saturday morning to confirm the move, the person in dispatch I spoke to said, "If you scheduled the move, it is definitely on it's way" and hung up the phone. I continued calling back to be sure I could actually confirm my move. I called a total of 9 times on Saturday leaving three messages with my information. No one called back. I started calling again on Sunday morning (15 times), I spoke with customer service who attempted to get in touch with dispatch they were not successful. [redacted] the "supervisor" then called me back. He said he didn't know what happened and that my stuff was not on the truck. I explained to story to which he said "yeah, I can't really do anything" I will have to wait to see why it wasn't scheduled. I will call you tomorrow by 2:00" When I asked what his name was, he said "[redacted]" I said and your last name? He said, "Supervisor". I said, your last name is "Supervisor" he said, "Yes." I then called on Monday, 6 times I was transferred twice and left three voicemails. I spoke with dispatch who told me that my stuff was, "being loaded on the truck" and that she would call me back to confirm delivery on Tuesday morning. She did not call back. I called today, I spoke with her again and she acted as if we had never spoken. She put me on hold for 10 minutes and 43 seconds. She came back and said my stuff would be loaded on a truck this weekend and that it takes 7-10 business days to deliver to Las Vegas. I explained that I needed it sooner to which she said there was nothing she could do. I asked to speak with the owner or manager- she said it was [redacted] or [redacted] and that she could not give out the number. I asked for their voicemail, she said she could not transfer me because her phone didn't work that way. I said I need to talk to someone who make the decision to load my stuff on the truck faster. She said that she couldn't make that decision but the only person to call was her because the managers were not in the office nor did she know when they would be back or if they would call me back if I left as message. I asked her when they would be- she said um, I don't know, maybe around 3.Desired Settlement: I would like my items delivered with no charges- THIS WEEKEND as the items delivered are now over 3 weeks late with no confirmation on when they will be arriving.

Response:

Please be advised that we provide Amiran Van Lines (hereafter referred to as "Amiran") with support in responding to Revdex.com claims. This complaint is very important to Amiran and is not being ignored.

We understand that there have been a few misunderstandings regarding [redacted]' move. Amiran always strives to provide its customers with exceptional service. We are sorry that [redacted] feels as if she was not provided with what she was promised. Nevertheless, most moving companies work within a timeframe of delivery and not an exact timetable. Things happen such as storms, accidents, and traffic that am out of the control of the company that may cause unintended delays in the pick-up and delivery of the goods. Unless a time is guaranteed under the contract the carrier normally does not take responsibility for the delay. If however the client has paid a premium for a "Guaranteed" date, then that is another issue. [redacted] does not fall into the latter category. Moving companies cannot promise to dedicate a whole truck and manpower and scheduling time without a premium added to the contract.

[redacted] was advised that for a long distance move from coast to coast it will take 7-21 days from the first available delivery date. Companies cannot deliver prior to the first delivery date as the cargo would need to be delivered to a temporary storage unit and then reloaded and delivered on that date. [redacted] indicated that her first available delivery date was 8/**, her delivery was completed on 9/** about two and a half weeks after her first available delivery date. The delivery date was within the time frame indicated by the company.

Should you have any questions or comments please do not hesitate to contact our office. Thank you for your kind consideration.

Sincerely

The furniture was finally delivered on 10/**/13: Damages are filed with their insurance company on their website [redacted].

Complaint 3: The main complaint is that our 60" Samsung Smart TV with 3D was not delivered. The driver called his Boss [redacted] (Dont know the last name) and [redacted] told the Driver to give us $218.00 as a deposit until they find our TV in their Warehouse. Since the warehouse was supposedly closed on Saturday and we have to wait until Monday 10/**/13. I called [redacted] on Monday, and he told me they are still looking. Review: To whom it may concern,

On August **, 2013 I entered into an agreement with Beacon Moving

& Storage for the packaging, pickup, movement and storage of my personal items at the address of[redacted].

These items were to be placed in a environmentally controlled storage unit until they could be moved to a final location. The items were scheduled to be returned on January **, 2014 to the address [redacted]. Upon the pickup date a contract with [redacted] Van Lines was presented to me. I was told that they would be performing the move despite the fact that I had been dealing with a company called Beacon Moving and storage.

$294 was paid on July 10th 2013 to Beacon by credit card to secure the August [redacted]2013. On August 30th an additional $500 was paid to the moving company with an additional $80 tip all paid in cash. Finally upon receipt of the goods $1,500 was paid to the moving company with an additional $100 in tips. Again paid in cash.

Upon delivery a number of items were damaged beyond repair. It should also be noted that the bed frame that was dismantled by the movers during the move. The movers apologized for breaking it and suggested I “throw it out.” I declined to throw it out and so had to pay for the moving and storage of an item the company damaged.

Other damaged items were as follows:

- West Elm Queen size Storage Bed frame $1,399 (Plus shipping)

- West Elm 6 drawer Dresser $699

- West Elm Industrial Desk Lamp $80

- West Elm Square Lamp $60

- West Elm Morten Lamp $150

- 2 Framed Pictures approximate value $150 each

- Bodum double walled Mug $30

- Olive Serving Tray $30

- Organized Living 6 cubby storage unit $150

- Star Trek Collectors Item approx. $125

- Entertainment Stand approx. $100

- Bar Stool/Seats $81.88

I have included pictures of all damaged items as attachments to this document.

In addition to these items there was visible rust on many of the items in storage. This leads me to believe that they were not stored properly. Although rust appeared on many items I have included pictures of the most visible of this rust.

Finally a number of items were never delivered to me although taken. These items include a filing cabinet filled with personal documents and electronics as well as 2 weights used to exercise. The moving company has told me that it is still investigating the loss of these things.

The amount of damages clearly exceeds the cost of my move. I am also seeking damages for the items lost.

Please contact me as soon as possible.

The company address that I thought I was dealing with reads as follows:

B[redacted]Desired Settlement: I am requesting a refund for the storage of the items and financial compensation for the damages.

Review: When we were quoted a price on March **, 2013 the price was for 2208.94 for 935 sq ft. to be moved from [redacted] to [redacted]. When they arrived on May **, 2013, the movers stated that it was a lot of stuff. Only after everything was loaded he stated he would not be able to unload the truck and that the price was $6500 with a deposit amount of $200 applied to fee. We then paid $1500 with cash and $1650 with a personal check. Under duress I signed a new binding agreement. I am supposed to get my belongings delivered on July **, 2013. I also had to have them store my belongings for any additional month for an additional fee of $350. I believe that I was coaxed into signing the new agreement. I truly believe that I was ripped off and am being bullied by the moving company. Please assist me in dealing with this unscrupulous company. I look forward to hearing from you. Thank you in advance for all your help.Desired Settlement: I want to be charged what was quoted to me or a reasonable amount. I was charged tripple the amount that was quoted.

Response:

Please be advised that we provide Amiran Van Lines (hereafter referred to as "Amiran") with support in responding to Revdex.com claims. This complaint is very important to Amiran and is not being ignored.

In order to properly respond to [redacted]'s complaints regarding an increase in price, we must first examine the contract entered into by the parties. Unfortunately, we are not in possession of those contracts at this time and must ask for additional time in order to answer [redacted]'s specific allegations.

In general the price for a move will increase if there are additional goods on the inventory that were not contained in the Binding Estimate. The list contained in the Binding Estimate is based upon the client's statements of goods. The client must confirm the list by affixing a signature (whether in writing or electronically) to that list. At that point the Moving Company and or its agents, and the client are both bound by that list. If [redacted] chose to move only the pieces contained in his list there should not have been a change in the price. other than the occasional incidental fees (such as packing materials and long haul charges that cannot be accounted for at the time of the estimate). [redacted]'s claim does not seem to be incidental in nature.

We would be happy to review any documentation provided by [redacted] in support of his claim. Otherwise, we will respond as soon as we have the documentation that we need.

Should you have any questions or comments please do not hesitate to contact our office. Thank you for your kind consideration.

Sincerely,

Review: Amiran Van Lines was assigned my move by Beacon Moving and Storage. They arrived at my home in Roanoke VA on 6/** to load my materials. I had already paid a deposit and was bound by a "Binding Estimate" of $1500 and 9 day delivery time. After they loaded my belongings they then presented a new contract of $2700 and delivery by August [redacted]. This was not what I signed for or presented earnest money up front. I had called almost daily to find out the status of my delivery, which was scheduled for July *, only to find out my belongings were placed in a storage unit until July**. [redacted], my assigned driver, kept pushing back my delivery due to added deliveries along the way. Finally, I was able to confirm a delivery time of July [redacted] at 4:30pm. This was confirmed both Thursday night and Friday on my lunch break. He NEVER SHOWED and didn't even call to let me know he wasn't going to make it. Also he never answered the phone after this, nor responded to my texts...he disappeared!! When my goods did arrive on July [redacted], boxes were crushed and wet....not at all in the condition I packed them. I took inventory as they unloaded my truck and have damaged goods and am missing 2 boxes, a Nintendo Wii, a television, and an ipod docking station. The worst part of this is that my boxes had been opened by the movers which is how they accessed and took the ipod dock. THEY STOLE MY BELONGINGS!!! It will be extremely expensive for me to replace these items especially with the additional $1100 charge added upon pickup. I am totally disgusted with my experience and feel violated knowing someone was rummaging through my personal belongings in order to steal my propertyDesired Settlement: I want my belongings returned or money given to me in order to replace the goods that were taken.

Sincerely,

Review: We hired a moving company found on the internet called Beacon Moving and Storage. We had a salesman who emailed us a contract and talked to us several time. He told us not to worry about the items listed on the contract, it was just an estimate. We make a initial payment to Beacon and scheduled the move. On the arrival date in Virginia it was moving truck the size of a large uhaul. Two russian men loaded the items and said we were over the estimate and changed $341 more dollars. We then were told our items would arrive in 10 days. On the day after they picked the items up I was asked to make payment #2. I paid $500 to a company called Amiran. When I ask about this, They said it was their sister company. My husband and I are told we would get our stuff within 10 days. I called after 7 days and they said they would be leaving NY in 3 days. It arrived in a 72 foot semi with no advanced notice. They arrived on Saturday night at 7:00 pm. They man driving was unable to drive his truck without issues. He threw his keys to my husband and told us to move it. We refused. He then told us we would have to pay $75 more dollars to move our stuff. I refused. So, he said it would our fault he couldn't drive his truck close enough so he unloaded our items on the ground and refused to move them into our storage unit. Our boxes were smashed. We were missing items off the list. My husbands had $1200 speakers (2) missing. They said they didn't know where they were. Our items were all mixed in with other peoples items. It was the most unprofessional moving company and no one speaks plain english. Please check into this company.Desired Settlement: I want the items replaced that are missing and I feel they should have to go back to the original estimate in money. The original estimate was $1137.00
