Business Stated "I spoke with this consumer and she wanted to get the ALL guns that were advertised for the $399.99. It is illegal in the State of California to sell more than one gun at a time within a 30 day period. I told her that she she stated that because of the wording of the ad that we...
should compromise the law for her and thats not what we are about. I will say this though if she wants she can purchase ONE of the models at the $399.99 price if she comes by this Saturday Jan 2, 2015 and I will sell her one at the Black Friday price. This was a deal that was for Black Friday and Saturday only, it not something that we run everyday. We are about great customer service and I think that would be a great resolution if still interested in one of the three models that was advertised."
I am rejecting this response because: the business never told me about a law. It would have been a mute complaint because one gun was for me and one was for my husband. He was rude and hung up on me after telling me he " would take my complaint into consideration for his next ad." He has. Disregarded the law about false advertising section 17500. I wish to not accept his offer because it is not a deal. I would tak just the .9mm with the essentials package for $250.
Review: On Black Friday I saw an ad in Sacramento Bee for a Springfield XD Essentials Package, 9mm & 40 S&W for $399.99. I called the business to make sure they were still in stock and the guy that answered the phone told me it was one or the other, not both guns, for $399. I told him the ad does not say 9mm "or" 40 S&W. I said "and" means both. He told me that it that was not correct and the price was for each one. He said I could talk to his manager "[redacted]. I called back and after several attempts finally reached [redacted]. After I explained to him the problem I had with the ad, he said it meant that each of them came as an essentials package and they were %399 each. I attempted to tell him that is not what his ad said. He very very rudely told me that he would take it "under advisement next time" he placed the ad and hung up on me.I feel that this was false advertising and am asking for Revdex.com to help resolve this problem. I understand there is a $2500 fine for false advertising and feel that this is what this company did.Desired Settlement: I would be happy if they honored the price advertised on the guns and sold them to me for $399.
