AmoraBeauty.com Reviews (%countItem)

company did not disclose that it was a 14 day trial and when I cancelled they wouldn't issue a refund Because the product was open
When I paid for the shipping for the trial I never received an email or anything stating the terms of the "trial" they then charged me full price for it because I didn't cancel it in the 14 days. When I called and canceled and let them know their product gave me a bad reaction they were only willing to offer me a 35% refund because the product was open. When I said I was going to despute the charge with my bank then they offered a 50% refund if I agreed not to do that. The representative was very argumentative as well.

Desired Outcome

I just want a refund for a product I can't use.

Dear ***,

Thank you for contacting us and sharing your concern we want you to be satisfied with the product and your experience.

According to our records, we received your order on December 24, 2018. The order was placed for a 14-day trial. On January 07, 2019 you were billed for the end of trial charge stated on the ordering site and terms.

The terms of the offer that you agreed to at the time of your order clearly state that you were to have a 14 day trial period starting from the date that the order was placed, in which you could cancel your account to avoid further charges.

We understand there may be some confusion on the order that the customer placed and how it worked. As a courtesy you were refunded for the amount of $44.99 Trans-ID: XXXXXXXXX on January 09, 2018.

Since the time your account was canceled, you have contacted your credit card company and initiated a dispute for the full charge. Due to the dispute that was filled, we cannot issue you any additional credits at this time. The outcome will be between you and your bank.

Customer Response • Jan 18, 2019

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
There site was very confusing, they didn't send any paperwork with the order stating the terms of the agreement or even a statement. If I would've received paperwork with the order I would've cancelled as soon as the product reacted negatively with my face. There site automatically checks you out for things when you click on things and the font is very small and hard to read on smart phones. NO WHERE did it state 14 day trial. It just said TRIAL. The site and statement TRIAL is very misleading.

AmoraBeauty.com Response • Jan 29, 2019

Dear ***,

I am sorry for any inconvenience or confusion when it comes to the trial that was signed up for.
Here is the ordering website; https://www.amora-beauty.com/ where the T&C are located, you can also refer to the image attached for the T&C as well. These terms were presented to you in multiple places on our website when you ordered our product.

When you ordered the product you also clicked a button indicating that you agreed to the terms of the offer. When a customer clicks that button, we must assume that they have read what they are agreeing to. If there was any confusion with the terms you could have called our customer service team and they would have been happy to assist you.

Since a initiated a dispute has been initiated for the full charges we are unable to provide any type of refund as a resolution to the account. Once a dispute is filed with a Financial Institution the outcome will be between you and your Financial Institution.

A week after my $10 purchase, amora tried to charge to take $89 from my account
Items were advertised on facebook as free samples, just pay $4.95 for shipping. I purchased 2 items at $4.95 each, which was shipping costs. 2 weeks later, my bank notified me that amora beauty attempted to take $89 from my account. I had to cancel my account.

Desired Outcome

They need to be investigated for scam

AmoraBeauty.com Response • Jan 09, 2019

Dear ***,

Thank you for contacting us and sharing your concern we want you to be satisfied with the product and your experience.

According to our records, we received your order on December 23, 2018. The order was placed for a 14-day trial on January 06, 2019 we did attempt to bill you for the end of trial charge(s) stated on the ordering site and terms.

The terms of the offer that you agreed to at the time of your order clearly state that you were to have a 14 day trial period starting from the date that the order was placed, in which you could cancel your account to avoid further charges.

We understand there may be some confusion on the order that the customer placed and how it worked. After further review of your account, it does show that the charges of $87.97 & $89.98 were declined. The transactions were not successfully debited from your account.

Your account has been cancelled on January 09, 2018, you will not received any more shipments or charges going forward.

I highly suggest finding different skincare to try simply on the basis that this company gives no customer service. I just attempted to call and find out about an auto subscription that I wanted to cancel until I had at least had opportunity to try the product samples...I was not allowed to speak without being interrupted and the call ended when I was hung up on mid sentence. DON'T DO IT! FIND A REPUTABLE LINE THAT WILL STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCT AND OFFER CUSTOMER SERVICE!!

I ordered a sample of a skin care product that was advertised using a popular face from one of the morning talk shows. It was suppose to be free and the only obligation was to pay for the shipping. The sample came but shortly after more skincare products showed up and a bill for $177.00 dollars. I did not order this product nor do expect to have to pay for it. The sender was identified on GMA as a scam and the so called spokesman from GMA knows nothing about it.

Desired Outcome

Refund I would like to make sure this company sends no more products and does not charge my credit card for any of it.

Dear ***

Thank you for contacting us and sharing your concern we want you to be satisfied with the product and your experience. I am sorry to hear that you were not satisfied.

As a courtesy today we have issued refunds for the amounts of $87.97 Trans-ID: XXXXXXXXX and $89.98 Trans-ID: XXXXXXXXX. Please allow 3-5 business days for the refunds to reflect back into your account.

I hope this resolves your concern today and I hope you have a good day!

The skin care was advertised as risk free, pay shipping. What they do not disclose is chargin the full amount for product within 14 days for product.
The skin care product was advertised as risk free, pay shipping. Terms and conditions have nothing in regards to a monthly reoccurring shipment and charge, nor was their anything outlined about being charged with 14 days. What they fail to tell you they will charge your card for your "risk free" trial in 10days without ANY communication from the time the order was placed until the invoice that came. The packing slip does not even contain the company name or address, simply a phone number. When I called the number to dispute the $87.97 charge pending in my account, the representative refused to tell me her name. She would not listen to anything I was saying, called me a liar saying that the terms and conditions stated that they would be charging. Told me I received emails as well, which I didn't. I literally had no conformation of the order nor did I have any idea on how to contact the company. Once I placed the order via a facebook ad, there was nothing more until the box showed up on my porch. When I asked to speak to a supervisor the lady told me she could do everything her supervisor could, and I told her I still wanted to speak with a supervisor. After going around and around with the lady about allowing me to speak to a supervisor, she placed me on hold. When she came back on the line she told me her supervisor was on another call and would not be speaking to me, and to have a nice day and hung up on me. I have searched my email, and went to the site that the lady provided me. I printed the terms and conditions from Amora Beauty and no where in there does it say anything about reoccurring subcripations or charging the full amount for trail products. I was never given the option to cancel, let alone any information about the 14 day trail. When I ordered it stated RISK FREE, asked for my shipping info, and payment info. I read through the SAME terms and conditions when I ordered that I printed today. Their business ethic is awful and customer service is even worse!!

Desired Outcome

I want the $87.97 charge refunded to my card. Not the initial shipping fee that I was charged and agreed to for my risk free trail.

AmoraBeauty.com Response • Nov 09, 2018

We sincerely apologize for this situation and will be looking into your case immediately. In the meantime, full refunds have been issued for order id XXXXXX & XXXXXX. Please allow 5-7 business days for these to reflect on your account. You should receive email notification of your refunds today

I ordered a free trial product and paid the shipping costs. I was unable to open the terms and conditions and then I received a bill on my checking statement for the amount of $89.98. I called the company to have it removed and they told me that in the terms and conditions I would automatically be billed for the entire cost of the 30 day supply. I told them I couldn't open the terms and they said I wouldn't have been able to order the free trial without opening it. No where on the page did it say I needed to open the terms and conditions. It was my impression that I was only getting the trial sample and I already paid for the shipping costs. I believe I was mislead and they refused to take the charge off my account but they said they cancelled my account and I should not be billed anymore. I am now out $89.98 for a tiny product sample.

Desired Outcome

Refund I would like the $89.98 taken off my charge and I would like the company to have to disclose their intentions if you order this trial product.
