Review: My 16 year old daughter went in for a simple trim; 2 inches off the bottom of her straight long hair because they had a large sign outside advertising a $26 hair cut and shampoo. The stylist sat her down and looked at her and said wash and condition? She responded "yes". She was charged for a "deep conditioner" that she had not asked for. Rather than a $26 bill, it came to $51. He never mentioned that it would be an "additional" cost on top of the hair cut. Every hair salon shampoos and conditions before a cut, so she was agreeing with him that this is indeed what she needed; a shampoo and cut. This is truly a tricky and sleazy way of forcing a service on a customer by being extremely vague. Once they put that conditioner on her hair, they said the service was done and they "cannot" refund the money. What is even worse than this sleazy tactic, is that my request for a resolution to this unethical practice, is met by "we cannot do anything" because the "[redacted]" cannot be contacted. There is absolutely no way any customer can get a wrong corrected. The person at the desk is just a person who works there and "has no authority to do anything" according to her.Desired Settlement: I want the business to understand that they cannot take advantage of a 16 year old girl, or anyone for that matter, by tricking them into a service and say "too late" service has been done. IF they are asking a client to have an additional service done, they need to indicate the additional cost. The additional cost was never mentioned and when I complained, the stylist admitted "I never said additional cost" Despite this admission, the so called [redacted] said she has no power to do anything because it's up to the owner to resolve. My daughter would like her hard earned $25 back because she never asked for the additional service and this service was never mentioned to be at an additional cost to the $26 haircut.
