Tech was no help at all
5-20-20 I recieved a new controller for a 2016 F-250 it came with everything it takes to control the running boards. The problem is, I hooked up everything correctly, there is no way to screw up it's plug and play The plugs will only go on one way.
The boards goes down when you close the door and fold up when you open it. The Tech told me to flip the connecter over and plug it in, well you cant do that the plugs only go in one way. The second thing he told me was to swop sides with the wiring, which you can not due because one set of wires is shorter than the other side, plus you have the plug that goes under the steering wheel. The guy had no idea how the system was wired or it proof. The last thing he told me was I might need to take it to a professional and I said that's why I called the manufacture you should know.
I'm sending the parts back.

On a Escalade that's used three times a month to tow one of my boatsI did my research before I bought the most expensive power steps on the market to avoid minuscule problems like this, that I have to take time out of my day to fix I can count eight individuals that have hurt themselves when the power steps come down at night time due to not having lights to see the steps when they are descending, including my wife!!!! Not only did I pay the company (whom is still in business that were giving me the run around and now have a D rating with the Revdex.com) that installed them extra to come pick up the truck, install the steps, than return the truck back to my officeI have recently paid a different company to disconnect the steps and have given them to a friend of mine I was not even going to make a complaint but when your EGO gets involved as will mineI gave you the option to make things rightAll I needed was a reply saying something like: "It is very unfortunate that three of the four lights went out and we have no problem replacing them free of chargeAll that I need from you sir is the address to send them to." NOT how dare you talk to my company like that I don't need any hand outs! Keep your lights I consider this matter closed

The facts are that Mr*** did not give us the opportunity to make things rightAs previously mentioned, we immediately offered Mr*** replacement lights free of charge exactly as he demanded and he refused to accept themWe understand that someone can become irritated when something doesn't work as intendedHowever, that is when all parties involved need to talk to each other to get to an acceptable resolution and unfortunately that did not happen.
Something we find interesting is that Mr*** most recent reply states that the company that did the initial installation is still in business but his first email to us, which is posted below, clearly says they went out of business.

It appears Mr*** has decided to remove the steps instead of accepting the replacement lightsWe are glad to accept his position to move past this and consider the matter closedWe wish Mr*** the very best

It is rather unfortunate that that Mr. [redacted] has taken the position to immediately file a complaint and not give us an opportunity to address the issue. Instead of engaging in an acceptable resolution, Mr. [redacted] decided to go straight to the Revdex.com. 
The facts of the case...

are listed below and everything can be supported with emails between Mr. [redacted] and our tech support group.  
We received an email from Mr. [redacted] on March 2, 2014 informing us that some of the lights that were installed on his vehicle stopped working and the company that installed them went out of business. He went on to demand that we send him replacements or we were going to get a bad review on the Revdex.com. That email he sent to us was the very first contact Mr. [redacted] ever made with us.
On March 4, 2014, we reached out to Mr. [redacted] via email and told him that we would honor his request for replacement parts. We simply asked for his year and make of vehicle as well as as his full address and phone number and we would happily send a full set of replacement lights. We strive to make our customers experience a pleasant one and we do whatever we can to accomplish that.
Approximately 40 minutes later, Mr. [redacted] wrote back again about having a truck that he invested a large sum of money into and expressed his irritation about why the lights were going out. He then told us to "keep the lights and deal with the Revdex.com complaint". 
Mr. [redacted] emailed back again a short time later informing us that he was the VP of a very large company and offered us some advice about dealing with a hostile customer.
We offered to replace all the lights free of charge and Mr. [redacted] simply refused to accept them. As stated above, we have every email correspondence between Mr. [redacted] and our tech support group to support what has been stated.

Review: I am making this complaint to this company because I have a very expensive truck and I put all the top of the line aftermarket parts on it. I had bought there power steps to get installed and this company I thought was the top of the line until the lights that come on to illuminate the steps when the steps come down started going out one by one over a seven month period on a brand new truck. Now I have one light of four that work and it's on the rear passenger side. I contacted there tech support wanting replacement lights. There reply back was I will send you the replacements but what [redacted] does not understand is that I work a lot of hours because I an high up in my company and do not HAVE TIME to take my truck to get fixed thats why I went with there company nor do I want to have to PAY SOMEONE AND SEND ONE OF MY EMPLOYES to take my truck to replace what had just been done a few months ago. obviously it's not that great of a design if LED bulbs are going out that fast.Desired Settlement: I want the replacements and a check for someone to replace them
