Review: On 12-05-2014 I was contacted by my mother (who does not live with me) [redacted] my place of business stating that an "[redacted]t" contacted them claiming that if I did not contact her ASAP, that I would be served. I contacted the number that was left with both parties ([redacted] spoke to someone else. I let them know that I was very upset that they would contact me at these places with a personal matter such as this, [redacted] that I did not appreciate their unethical collection practices as process servers do not call ahead of time to threaten people with court papers. The lady I spoke with apologized profusely [redacted] said that they were attempting to collect a debt with (I believe she said) [redacted]. I did have a secured credit card with them at one time many years ago [redacted] at this time I am making an attempt to pay off all of my debts [redacted] improve my credit rating for future purchase of a home.

I agreed to set up payments with the company (they told me they were [redacted].) [redacted] we set up some tentative dates for payments as I did not have a calendar in front of me. The lady I spoke with said it was no problem, [redacted] if I found that those dates did not work for me, I could call in ahead of time [redacted] change the dates. By the end of December, I realized that I would need to change the dates to the end of the month each month ad tried to call back at the number I was given above. I left several messages for them to call back because no one EVER answers their phone. I did not receive a call back [redacted] the next payment ran on 01-12-15 (01/12/15

Since all this happened I went online to research the company and found out that have MANY fraud claims against them. I canceled my debit card and was issued a new one so that no further money could be taken, but have still not been able to reach anyone for proof that they are a legitimately collecting for an old debt. I have emailed them, called Aphastar Trade directly etc... etc...
