Initial Business Response /* (1000, 6, 2015/11/19) */
We apologize that they feel that our postcard conveyed something other than what we intendedWe pulled the address and current owner from public recordsWe are real estate investors and we market for properties that fit our buying criteriaI
don't understand how anyone could be "tricked"When you call the phone number on our card, we have a minute message that explains in a very detailed way that we are investors and what we are here to do
We have sent out 10's of 1000's of these cards and never had a single complaintOnce again we are sorry for any offense and will definitely remove this address from our records and will never contact them againIf there is anything else we can do to further address this matter please don't hesitate to ask
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 8, 2015/11/19) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
My complaint is that the METHOD used to entice a property owner to reply IS deceptiveThere's no mention of a real estate company on the post cardInstead, the card uses the name of the property owner and gets his attention with the word URGENT in large, bold print and a lie stating that multiple attempts to contact were madeIt intentionally looks like a notice from the home owner"s association, thus baiting the recipient to replyONLY THEN, does he learn that he's been dupedA company with integrity would CLEARLY state that they are real estate investors offering information about their services at the number provided
