Amundson's Appliance Center Reviews (4)

Dear Revdex.com,

Response to [redacted] complaint:
On 4/05/2011, [redacted] purchased a Daewoo front load
washer and matching dryer from Amundson Appliance.  On 4/19/11, Amundson Appliance delivered and
installed the washer and dryer.

On...

6/17/14, [redacted] called for a service tech to come
to her home to look at her Daewoo washer because an OE fault symbol is coming
up on the LED screen.  The washer would
not finish spinning out the clothes or drain the water.  Amundson Appliance discussed with [redacted] that
the washer is no long under the manufacturer’s warranty.
On 6/23/14, Amundson’s Appliance service tech went to
[redacted]’s home to run diagnostics to find what was causing the issue.  The pump had failed.  Amundson Appliance ordered the pump.
On 6/30/14, Amundson’s Appliance service tech went back to
[redacted]’s house to install the new Daewoo re-designed  pump.
The service tech informed [redacted] of the new design.  After installing the pump, we unfortunately
cracked the panel.  The service tech
informed [redacted] that Amundson Appliance will order  a replacement
panel.  On 7/1/14, Amundson’s
ordered the panel.
On 7/2/14, [redacted] called to report that the washer is making
a loud noise.  At this time, Amundson
Appliance informed [redacted] that the panel is on back order.
On 7/9/14, Amundson’s Appliance service tech returned to
[redacted]’s house to find the source of the noise.  The service tech was there for 45 minutes
running the washer through several cycles with no abnormal noises detected.  The washer is performing as designed.  [redacted] informed the service tech that it is
louder than before.  The service tech
explained again that Daewoo redesigned the pump.  The old pump is no longer made.
On 7/15/15, [redacted] called to report that the washer is louder
and thinks it is due to a faulty pump.  Amundson
Appliance informed [redacted] that all of the service tech notes show the Daewoo
washer is operating as designed with no abnormal noises.   [redacted] told Amundson Appliance, “don’t use
your FBI tactics on me” and ended the phone call.
On 7/17/15, Amundson Appliance called [redacted] to inform her
that we will order another Daewoo washer pump and the washer console panel is
still on back order.
On 7/25/15, Amundson Appliance sent a different service tech
to [redacted]’s house to replace the Daewoo pump.
The service tech verified operation of the Daewoo washer that is
operating as designed.
On 7/28/15, [redacted] called Amundson Appliance to
report the washer is loud.  Amundson
Appliance explained again that Daewoo redesigned the pump and it is operating
as designed.  [redacted] then proceeded to
say, “I want my new part now, I want my new part now, I want my new part
now.”  [redacted], (Amundson’s employee) asked
the customer to stop.  [redacted] continued
with, I want my new part now, I want my new part now.  [redacted] informed the customer if she did not
stop repeating herself, she will hang up.  [redacted]
continued to repeat, “I want my new part now, I want my new part now.”  [redacted] hung up.
[redacted] called back.
She spoke to [redacted] (another Amundson Employee).  [redacted] listened to [redacted]’s concerns and informed
her that the washer is operating as designed.
[redacted] informed the customer that we are at an impasse.  [redacted] hung up.
[redacted] did call once a month to check on the status of the
washer console panel.  The panel is still
on back order with DaeWoo.
Amundson Appliance has a service bill for $163.53 which has
not been charged to [redacted] for the service performed on the washer or for the
new pump.  As of today, 2/20/15, the
console panel is still on back order.
Daewoo has not been able to supply the part to replace the panel that
was damaged.

Sincerely,
[redacted]
Amundson Appliance Store Mgr – Chippewa Falls

I was not very satisfied with ordering & receiving 4 appliances recently with this company.
Dishwasher was hooked up very unsatisfactory. The refrigerator took over 1 1/2 months after it was ordered to be delivered. The ice maker did not work - my husband had to look up on the internet to set up appropriate temperatures for both refrigerator & freezer. Our stove vent was installed incorrectly & had to be fixed by another repair man. And then when I received a statement with a late fee & late payment & had not even received the first statement - that was final insult.

Review: I bought a washer and dryer from this business 3 years ago. Just after the warranty was no longer valid the washer started giving the single the there was a clog. I checked all the recommended troubleshooting steps according to the manufacturers directions. There was never any visible clog in area of the washer. I finally classed amundson's to come and check it out. They continually scheduled later and later. The repaire men were rude and made untrue excuses for everything they did--when they finally did arrive. They immediately told me that the problem was the pump and that they didn't have one.The repair man shoved my control panel cover back onto the front of the machine and cracked it. When I noticed this I immediatlely told them that they need to get me another panel that was not cracked because that was their mistake. I had to wait another couple of weeks for the pump. I had to call them repeatedly for any information. [redacted] was the main person I spoke with on the phone and she consistently rude with me and unhelpful. When the pump arrived I then had to schedule them to come to the house to actually put it in. This was delayed another week. The pump was them installed by a different repair man who was just as rude as the first. They said I needed a larger pump which I know I didn't. The washer is now 100% noisier than it was before and is just horrible to listen too. I complained about this immediately after doing a load of laundry that very day. I spoke with [redacted] about this multiple times. They continue to say that there is nothing they can do about it which is not true. They could put in the correct size pump which would take care of the noise issue and handle the small amount of laundry I have. They also have not done anything to replace the panel they broke. I continued to call the store to find out about it and [redacted] just kept making up lies. At one point when I insisted she find out about the part and when they would be putting it in she hung up on me.Desired Settlement: I want the correct pump placed in my washer and the panel replaced as they said they would.

Review: THE REFRIGERATOR DELIVERED APPEARED TO BE A FLOOR MODEL RATHER THAN THE NEW PRODUCT PURCHASED. THE REFRIGERATOR HAD EXTERIOR DAMAGE AND SEVERAL DRAWERS INSIDE WERE BROKEN. WE CALLED THE STORE AND NEVER RECEIVED ANY SATISFACTION.Desired Settlement: REPALCEMENT OF DAMAGED REFRIGERATOR WITH AN UNDAMAGED ONE.

Response:

Our customer came into the Chippewa Falls store on Saturday July 2011 and needed a

refrigerator as soon as possible. The customer was sold an Amana ABB2224wcw. Even

though we did not have the refrigerator the customer desired at our Chippewa Fall

location we accommodated the customer's short time table at no extra expense. Their

refrigerator was transferred from our Rice Lake store and delivered on the next business

day, which was Monday July 22nd.

, The refrigerator was new, had NOT been plugged

in inside the store and had NOT been sold to anyone else and returned.

The refrigerator was delivered and it was discovered there was a cosmetic dent on the

unfinished back orlhe unit. Typically little to no action is required for a cosmetic

imperfection on an unfinished, non- visible portion of a unit. However in this case we

made an exception and requested $ 100 from the manufa ture for the imperfection for the

customer.

Latter the customer called and said there was a scratch (not broke n) on one of the crisper

drawers and on the fresh food door. Both are replaceable parts and following the

guidelines of the manufacture both parts were ordered for the customer. The crisper

drawer is a readily available part and the fresh food doors are built on request and take

approximately 4-6 weeks to receive fro m the manufacture. The crisper drawer arrived

Thursday 07/25/20 13. We call ed the customer to let them know the replacement crisper

had arrived. The customer responded that they no longer wanted anything to do with

Amundsons. While we were surprised at the customer's request. we respected the

customer's wish and have not contacted them. All orders credits have been cancelled.
