Amy Laurent International Reviews (2)

She has extremely weird men... I used her service as a woman for free in NYC... my professional photos were on her main page of her website without my consent! I never signed a release for my photos.. also I was sent on multiple dates I mean five a week as if she needed to use me for the abundance of men who were paying more than she cared if it was a match... the men I met were dirty and kinky.. one guy wanted to do a dominatrix thing on the phone. She operates more like an escort agency than a match maker and is in it for the money. We the girls get NOTHING out of it.. I used a different company who sent me out on appellate matches, clients profiles were showed to me which I approved of ( she never did this) and we were instructed to not speak until meeting... be aware ladies.. I am married now..

Review: I officially signed up for [redacted]'s matchmaking service on Feb **, 2013 and utilized her service less than 4 months before I put my membership on hold. I scheduled a call with [redacted] on June **, 2013 and I discussed with her that I would be taking a new job opportunity and would be relocating from Los Angeles to San Francisco. I was disappointed that I would not be able to use her service any longer and she was really nice about it and stated that based on the contract that I signed, that I would be entitled to a prorated refund since I was relocating outside of her service area (New York or Los Angeles). During the call, [redacted] also stated all I needed to provide her was copy of my change of address confirmation from the United States Postal Service once I was officially moved and that she would be mailing me prorated refund. She made it sound so easy and pleasant and I took her word for it. When I moved to San Francisco in late July, I provided her a scanned copy of the USPS change of address confirmation the first week of August, verifying my move to San Francisco and I am still waiting for her to provide me my refund. For the last 8 weeks, I have been requesting my refund from [redacted] and she has not been responsive with getting back to me and when she does eventually get back to me via email she has been very vague on when I would get my refund or the amount of my refund. I asked her many times when I would get my refund and how much she calculated the prorated refund to be but she continues to not answer these questions. She continues to stall, not be responsive, or make up additional excuses, tells me her lawyer would be sending me some documents to review (does this even make any sense?), or tells me that I will receive my refund soon, and that she will get back to me right away and send the refund but then she continues to be non-responsive and ignore my refund request. In the last email she sent to me, [redacted] requested additional proof of my relocation which I thought to be ridiculous but I ended up providing it to her and more. She asked for a copy of my new utility bill with my new address and she also requested proof that I had standard mail forwarded to my new address in San Francisco. [redacted] even implied that I was only getting certain mail forwarded and that I was forwarding some of my mail to a temporary address in San Francisco and still living in Los Angeles. You cannot just forward certain mail via the United States Postal Office so what is she talking about??? Sounds like more excuses to not honor the contract I signed. So I provided her the additional documentation she requested and also provided her more documentation than necessary to show proof of my relocation to San Francisco. The following copies of documents were emailed to [redacted]: 1. Comcast Cable Bill (new San Francisco permanent address displayed) 2. PG&E Electric Bill (new San Francisco permanent address displayed) 3. Change of Address Confirmation (From my previous address in Los Angeles to my new address in San Francisco) 4. My New Job Offer (June 2013): Includes the Relocation Assistance that the company would provide in order to move the Bay Area since I would need to work out of the corporate office located in Sunnyvale, CA 5. A copy of my Pay Stub for my new job (Most recent with my new San Francisco permanent address displayed) 6. Two pieces of forwarded mail: Two Standard Letters/Mail that was forwarded from my old address to to my new address in San Francisco, CA. You would think after all this proof of documentation that would be sufficient. After sending her all this documentation, she emailed me back and said she would review and get back to me right away but guess what, I still have not heard back from her. What is her definition of getting back to someone "right away" after I have been waiting two months to get my refund. I have tried to follow up with her multiple times but she continues to be non-responsive. Per the contract I signed it states the following: "if you relocate your residence more than 50 miles with proof of relocation and we are unable to obtain comparable access to Services, you may also cancel this Agreement and you or your estate will be liable for only that portion of charges allocable to the time before your disability, death, or change of residence. In all cases, all monies paid under the contract will be refunded to you within ten business days following receipt by [redacted] of your cancellation notice." [redacted] has flat out not honored our contract and she has let this drag on for 8 weeks with no resolution. I am frustrated and irritated with her shady unethical business practices and I would not recommend her matchmaking service to anyone based on my current experience. Her matchmaking services are definitely not worth the $12,000 I gave her for a one year contract but that’s another story. Based on my calculation she owes me a proration minimum refund of $8,000. Here's the kicker, I never met [redacted] when I signed up for her matchmaking service. Instead, she had me meet one of her associates/assistants in Los Angeles. I should of saw all the warning signs after this point and not be stupid enough to sign up for her service. Does it make any sense for anyone to sign up for a matchmaking service where you as the client are supposed to get personalized matchmaking services but actually never meet the matchmaker in person??? I know it’s partially my fault for putting myself in this situation and paying for this service but I completely feel taken advantage of by [redacted]. After all this, I sent her one last email telling her that if she continues to refuse to honor my contract and refund me what she owes, then I would take legal action. She continues to be non-responsive and ignore me. I have saved every single email communication from [redacted] that provides proof of her deception and unwillingness to honor our contract and provide the refund that I am entitled to receiving.Desired Settlement: [redacted] owes me a prorated refund ($8000.00) based on the contract I signed and relocation outside of her service area (greater than 50 miles).

Response:

I am forwarding you an email copy with the attachment of the letter in regards to the Tae Ko response that I faxed over to you and also mailed a hardcopy in the mail on October [redacted]. I'm not sure why my grade was shown downgraded for no response, as I did respond with what you are seeing attached, and did so in a timely fashion. Tae Ko and I followed by proving his status of relocating to another state, as he provided additional proof since his first paperwork did not match the address he claimed to be at.

A refund check was sent out to him and I can also forward you email correspondence of confirmation of that, or if you'd like to verify with him. The matter was resolved, and I did respond as soon as I got the letter from the Revdex.com, via hard copy mail and fax, in the same day. I thought these were options, in addition to responding on the website so did not reply via the internet.

Thank you for your help.
