It is All Breed Pet Grooming's position that *** *** was not the owner of the dog at the time this matter happened on October 4th, 2017; we feel that she has no rights or recourse in this matter.The owner that we have on file and the person that dropped off the dog is *** ***, and we have a client agreement (copy enclosed) signed by her stating our policies and it clearly states in #5-A that a flea bath is $and is required if the pet has flease. I'm not sure where she came up with $it was also on her receipt. (Copy enclosed) If the client does not want to pay this fee we would refuse to groom the dog because we cannot have live fleas in our shop that can get on other dogs.*** was told at that time that a flea bath only kills the fleas that are on the dog at that time, it is not a preventive for fleas. We do not sell preventives in our shop and must be purchased from a veterinary or pet supply store. If the dog goes back into the same environment that is not treated it will get fleas again.I would also like to state that she has the date of purchase and the date she called our office are both wrong. The date of purchase was October 4th and the date *** called was November 10th, well over days. Also, I (***) was not the groomer and I was not the one she talked to when she called on November 10th and I explained about the flea bath again.It is All Breed Pet Grooming's position that the dog did get the flea bath and therefore no refund is due
