Dear [redacted]Amy's Exotic Braids received the above-reference customer complaint and appreciates the opportunity to respond. [redacted] complaints about a recent service received in our shop on Saturday July 11,2015. She is requesting a refund for the cost of the service our business provided...

her.[redacted] effectively visited our shop on Saturday July 11, 2015 around 9am to get her hair braided. She indicated upon arrival her desire to have her braided by a specific hair stylist. At that point, she was told that the stylist she requested has called sick and will not be available immediately to deliver the service she needed. Moreover, she was presented with the options of received her service from another stylist or come back another day when the stylist she wants is available. [redacted] agreed to have her hair braided by another stylist. After waiting for an hour she became very angry and irritated. I approached her cordially and offered her the option to wait an additional 10 minutes or come back another time. She refused to leave but told us that she would like to receive a discount for not receiving the service when it was expected. We agreed to give her a 10% discount of the full price. I started [redacted]' hair. She continued to be irritated and visibly upset when the stylist she initially request walked in. We completed [redacted]' hair but she refused to pay the discounted amount she previously agreed to and proposed to give us $120. We refused the new proposed amount and told her to pay or we will call the police. [redacted]' mother came in few minutes later and asked her daughter to pay the amount she has agreed to. She threw the money on the flow and walked out. At no time were [redacted] locked in the shop against her will nor threatened with "voodoo" in our native language as indicated in her deposition.Amy's Exotic Braids strive for excellence in delivering quality customer service to all our customers.
