Customer F.K. gave me two watches for repair on June 19, 2014.One was a Victorinox with a dead battery.  The charge for that watch is $10.The other watch was a Luminox with severe rust damage.  I quoted customer and received verbal authorization for $80 for a new movement, new stem and...

crown, clean the case and new gaskets. I completed the work proscribed and customer paid by credit card and picked up his property on July 16, 2014.Customer brought the Luminox back on two occasions when the minute hand, badly rusted but not replaced per our agreement, became loose.  The original hands were not usable.  I substituted new hands at no additional charge. When customer responded to pick up the watch he complained that the hands were not original equipment and demanded a full refund.  The movement I installed was not "generic" as customer claims, but an exact replacement.I told him that I would give a refund if he allowed me to reclaim the new parts I had installed and paid for the Victorinox battery.  He argued that he would take the watch but that he was not happy.  Customer disputed the credit card charge for the full $90 for both watches.  He returned the watch movement and hands at a later date, I presume to avoid criminal charges for theft of service.
