I should have read the reviews BEFORE I went to the store! The owner of the store is very disrespectful fat no neck beast. He speaks to you like your the jerk. I went there an told them I had $1000.00 to spend on some trains. They sold me a set that they don't even carry parts for. They wouldn't turn on the model train in the store for my children to enjoy. They act as if you have to beg them for service! Wouldn't recommend this store unless you want abuse. Trainworld.com is 17% cheaper, and that's where they order from when they don't have something in stock. I was confronted by another customer when I left, saying they only come here in an emergency, and they would never bring their children its just not worth it. I couldn't agree more. I will never return!
Listening to a business
conversation through a closed door speaks volumes about this customer.
Obviously he was aware I was on the phone helping another customer yet he
knocked on the closed door repeatedly over a fifteen minute period. I assume he
felt his issue was more...
important and deserved immediate attention. Because we
are operating with a limited staff, I’m not always able to drop everything when
a customer demands. When I finished the conversation, I found the customer had
left his Power Cab with a note that it had failed and would not control his
train layout. After thorough testing, I found the unit to be operating exactly
as would be expected. The only problem I found was the digital display panel
had been damaged and was difficult to read.
Our return policy is posted
in the store, on our website and printed at the bottom of every sales receipt.
Any item, particularly an electronic item as in this case, that has been used
for two weeks before a failure is not returnable. Because we are not able to
affect the needed repair in the store, we refered the customer to the
manufacturer warranty. I’m not sure what he thinks we can do to assist him with
a warranty claim.
Because I was not a part of
either confrontation, I’m not aware of exactly what was said. I have questioned
my clerk about the incidents and, as might be expected, his recollection is
significantly different. In my opinion, he did a good job of handling a
difficult and demanding customer.
I am also in receipt of an
email from this customer where he states “I will not be dealing with you
again.” I have every intention of holding him to
that.
I bought my father into the store over the past weekend, he's 86. He has been waiting for me to take him to the train store for about a month. We were greeted by the owner "Bob". he had no patience for us, he spoke down to my father. My Dad wanted to spend the $500.00 in his pocket on trains, "Bob" acted as if he didn't care. He kept walking away from him as if my father wasn't there. When I confronted him about his attitude, he just rolled his eyes at me. I have NEVER been treated with so much disrespect in my life. I have never made a complaint about a business before, but people should know this place is a place of ill-repute, I would NEVER return. We went on line once we got home and ordered the trains my father wanted. It's a shame he has the only store in the valley.
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
Regards,
[redacted]Once again, this business is refusing to assist me in resolution of my issue. I have sent the Power Cab to the manufacturer for repair and was recently told they will 'get to it' by the end of next week. I have no intention of ever dealing with this business again and appreciate the Revdex.com's assistance in attempting resolution. With this company's attitude toward customer service, there is no resolution.
