Ms *** *** while I appreciate your disappointment and comments regarding your sisters appointment Allow me to clear up a few misunderstandings First , your sister is only weeks pregnant and the fetus is the size of a pea It is physically impossible to see a baby of
that size abdominally Medically speaking , you cannot see a fetal heartbeat before weeks and days via vaginal scan much less abdominally We are not a medical facility and can not practice medicine without a license It is not responsible and is illegal There are many contributing factors and reasons we do not do ultrasound this early I understand that you are in town for a short time and are anxious to see the baby, however this was the right thing to do I am in the business of doing things the right way and don't feel bending the law would be appropriate I didn't want to take your money, fully knowing what we would see (nothing) and have you come in anyway Your deposit was refunded within hours of making your appointment I can assure you that our customers are fully satisfied once they've seen us I apologize for the misunderstanding and misinterpreted information from our website As you stated , it does say "typically done between 10-weeks These are the guidelines I set forth in order to prevent these mixups The call from my secretary was to find out details before you wasted your time and money coming in It was all to protect your best interest, not to upset you.PARENT AND HEALTH CARE PROVIDER UNDERSTANDINGAn Early Peek Ultrasound offers a completely non-diagnostic service which does not replace any element of your prenatal careYou must be under the care of a health care provider to use our service, and we urge you to consult your health care provider if you have any concerns about your pregnancy.I sincerely hope this clears up any misunderstandings or Ill will on our part I am a patient advocate and always have the patients best interest at heart
