Review: I paid $11,400 up front for a complete treatment plan by Dr. [redacted]. The dentist did not perform all of the services, so a refund was required for the unused services. Just the crowns alone...according to Dr. [redacted] and his prices were $1,800.00-$2,000.00 each X 4 = $7,200 - $8,000.00 (plus the cost of the implants). So at minimum, the refund should have exceeded the $7,200.00 to include the cost of implants.Instead of keeping reasonable fees for the services performed, the amount retained by the dentist was exorbitant!!!!!!!!!! It was exponentially higher than reasonable, usual and customary fees as allowed by insurance companies and as charged by professionals of similar experience and skill. The dentist retained $2,000.00 for preliminary impressions that are listed as $90.00 in the Dental Pricing Schedule below, and I did not receive my molds, just the model.The dentist retained $3,000.00 for the bone graft (04263)where as usual and customary fees would allow $425.00, a fee charged by a specialist of equivalent expertise. The dentist retained $500.00 (07210) each for extraction of two teeth. You will see in the following Dental Pricing Fees Schedule that allows $145.00 per tooth. The amount retained far exceeded a reasonable amount. Another expert suggested such fees far exceeded any fees in the area or reasonable for such services.http://www.affordablecare.org/dental_price_list.htmThe dentist issued a check for $6,000.00, but I have not cashed it as it is far, far from a reasonable refund for the unperformed services according to dental insurance, the attached pricing schedule and other professionals of equivalent expertise....and according to Dr. [redacted], himself!Desired Settlement: The amount retained by Dr. [redacted] should be within tens of dollars of other providers and reasonable, usual and customary fees prescribed by insurance companies and standard, ethical business operating procedures.
