                        We have a 48 hour cancellation policy for any reservation made at our hotel. You made this reservation on [redacted] on March...

16, 2016 for a check in date on August 4 through August 7th for 3 nights. We never received any cancellation notice from [redacted] stating that the reservation needed to be cancelled, nor did we ever receive any notifications from [redacted] themselves of their systems being down.
                        You claimed that [redacted] had a glitch in their system when you cancelled the reservation with them. Even if that is true, did you not get a confirmation stating that it was cancelled? Just like receiving a confirmation for making a reservation, you should also receive a confirmation for a cancelled reservation. If their system was down and you did not receive a cancellation confirmation, you should have contacted [redacted] to verify your cancellation.
                        We have an email from [redacted] and yourself proving that they did not receive any cancellation request from you before the check in date. We're not in the business to take advantage of our guests. If that was the case, we could have charged you for those three nights, but we chose to charge for one night only. The reservation was made during our busy month, that room went "un-rented" because we were holding the room for your reservation assuming that you will be arriving that day. We had a reservation confirmation from [redacted] stating that you will be arriving that day. Now keep in mind that if we had received a cancellation notice, we would have never charged you for a "no show". We sincerely apologize for any convenience, but we're going to stick to our policy and not refund this no show.
