I've been aware of Mr [redacted] ' coins and the delays he's experiencedWhile I agree we have taken too long to complete the service, it is because his coins are more challenging to authenticate than mostWe did require the help of an outside expert in order to complete the taskOnce the coins were evaluated by the consultant, we did rush his order through the back end of the serviceHis coins have since been returned to him, the service completeThis is an unusual delay, but can happen with such unusual coinsWe hope this does not effect his opinion of ANACS in a negative way and we will endeavor to do a better job to communicate realistic expectation to our submittersAnd I say to Mr [redacted] , sorry for all the hassles and delays[redacted]
I am familiar with Mr***'s claim that his coins were switched, but find no reason to believe his claim to be trueHe has sent us a number of pictures to prove his claimThe pictures of the coins we shipped to him are pretty clear and helpful, but the "before" pictures are blurry, pixelated
and useless for nearly any purpose, let alone identifying minute details on a coinBut aside from that, one of the two coins (*** * ***) is sealed an a case from another certification serviceIt is how it arrived to us and how it remainsWe literally could not touch the coin without cracking it out and destroying the caseWe could not switch this coin, even if we wanted toThe bigger point is that ANACS has been in business for years and we certify hundreds of coins everydayWe are one of the most trusted names in numismaticsThere is no benefit to us in such behaviorPlease feel free to contact me with any questions,*** ***
