Review: One of our garage doors broke around 2nd week of Sept and per our HOA we been asked to get it replaced by "Anaheim doors" which we think is unfair that we can't even get a competitive bid. So about third week of September a gentleman from Anaheim doors came on 22nd Sept without an appointment and left us an invoice of $78 while we weren't home. Then when we called Anaheim doors back they said our rep was in the area so he stopped by so they willing agree to waive $78 and came back on Sep 29th and gave us an estimate of $900 and took $200 right away and told us our door will be replaced within three weeks which will be around Oct 19th. So we waited till Oct 19th expecting that they will come on 19th and replace on or before 19th but nothing really happened and when finally we called they said they can't replace it because they don't have the door. When we asked them to refund our money they said they can't refund money because we have to send them a cancelation form, which they will send us in mail, so we waited for cancelation form for the over a week but nothing showed up so we put a dispute on credit card and many days after that dispute we received the cancelation form so we filled it and sent that cancelation form over the email on Nov 16 and then on Nov and BCCed that form to myself but they kept on claiming that they never received that form. Long story short we with in a house with a broken/open garage door over two months. Anaheim doors claimed to have something which they didn't and charged us for that and now we have to go through lot of hassle to get it refunded. We'll like to request you to help us get that refund plus the damages of the for living without a door for over two months. I am sure we'll get our money back because our Credit Card company won't pay them because no work was done by Anaheim doors but we really seek you help to get us these damages from them.Desired Settlement: Refund or our money with damages

The customer had an old door that has long been discontinued as explained to the customer. For the closest match in panel detail and color, we quoted a door that would need to be custom ordered. We did not receive any money from the customer other than for the evaluation trips and deposit for the custom garage door. This totaled $200 paid by the customer via credit card. When the customer was unhappy and wanted to cancel, we did as an accommodation offer to cancel the order even though it was a custom item and we could not cancel nor return the item to the manufacturer. We did require written cancellation though as was explained to the customer. The cancellation was processed upon receipt of her written cancellation received just before Thanksgiving and the credit was issued to the customer upon returning from the long Thanksgiving weekend holiday. Although the credit was processed to her original credit card on 12/1/15 for $200, it may take a few days for their credit card company to reflect the credit to their account as was explained to the customer.
