Dear Mr***:I have received a copy of your comments from the Revdex.com of San Diego relative to your guaranteed reservation for arrival October 12-14, I have reviewed the hotel records, as well as having a conversation with the Reservations Manager, ***.According to hotel
records, on August 25, you booked a reservation for arrival October 1214, You made the statement to the Revdex.com that "we had to cancel due to a family emergency"However in researching the hotel records, cannot find evidence of a cancellation; thus you were charged for the "No Show" on a guaranteed reservationIn my conversation with ***, she states that she had a conversation with you on October 20, You mentioned to her that there was a medical issue that prohibited you from traveling to the hotelAt that time you indicated to her that you did not cance your reservation but wanted to rebook for arrival on November 15-17, *** responded that she would be happy to book the reservation for you and advised you of the 24-hour cancellation policyAt that time you asked if the No Show charge could be applied to your new bookingShe responded that she could not do that, however if you could provide the hotel with "documentation", confirming that as result of the emergency you and your family were dealing with, you could not stay at the hotel over the original October dates*** denies asking you for "medical records", which would be in violation of HiPAA confidentiality lawWhat she did request was a "statement" only from the physician indicating that due to a family emergency, you could not travel to Anaheim on October 12, Many previous guests, who are requesting a credit for a No Show charge, have provided us with this type of non-specificstatementOnce we receive the statement, we then process a credit back to the guest's credit cardIt is my understanding from *** that you agreed to send the statement to her and she provided you with her fax number

For your file, have enclosed a copy of the credit that was processed by the hotel's accounting department on October 14, 2016. Please take whatever steps are necessary to close this complaint.
