On October 9, 2015 the [redacted] and [redacted] Foundation entered into an agreement with Anchor Auctions, Inc. The signed agreement stated that Anchor Auctions, Inc. would sell the Foundation's assets and a check would be issued to the Foundation 45 days after the assets were sold. Anchor Auctions, Inc. sold the Foundation?s assets however, they have not paid the balance due. The balance due is $20,152.75 and is now 90 days past due. Anchor Auctions, Inc. sold the Foundation's assets and kept the Foundation's money thus creating a breach in the company's fiduciary duty.Product_Or_Service: AuctionDesired SettlementAnchor Auctions Inc. should immediately distribute the amount owed to the [redacted] and [redacted] Foundation.

I used Anchor Auctions to sell my lot when I shut down my business. Ever since then I have had a very hard time getting in touch with them. They finally answered the phone and mailed me a small check with an item list of what had not sold. This was on 6/25/2015 I have tried to contact them via phone and email to go pick up the rest of my things (per their list) and have not been able to get a hold of anyone. They answer the phone at times with a promise of a call back and they never call me back. I have tried to call the owner direct and left voicemails and emails and I have not received any kind of message back. At this point I think they are trying to avoid me to keep my things or they sold my things and do not want to pay me for them. But per their paper work they still have lots of my expensive equipment.Product_Or_Service: Auction Order_Number: [redacted]Account_Number: [redacted]Desired SettlementGet my things back. At this point I am not interested in low ball offers. I want to collect my tools and equipment that according to them they still have.

The company took our house furnishings and failed to pay us a fair amount and in a timely mannerAnchor Auctions took our entire household furnishings in January to auction. They promised payment within 45 days, less a 35% commission. 60 days later they had not contacted me at all. I called the 6 times and sent them 2 emails, all with no response. In mid-April, I called again, and I spoke to the book keeper, who stated she was returning from out of town. She promised me payment. I finally received a check for approximately $350, far below the value originally estimated by [redacted], the owner. Many of my items were missing from the inventory, and many items were stated sold at ridiculous prices, such as a like new dining room set, inlaid wood and 6 chairs, bought new for $1500, used for $750. They claim they sold it for $10. These people are dishonest. Desired SettlementI am requesting additional payment of $750 and an apology. Business Response We received a phone call from [redacted], as we do all consignors, to pick up items from his second rental home and put them on consignment for auction. We made a special exception for him to pick up on a Friday morning. We also waived the pick up fee that is normally $100.00. Normally we would not do this due to our weekly auctions are consistently held on Saturdays with our previews on Fridays, and the amount of work that is required of the employees of Anchor Auctions to clear an estate. No minimums or reserves were placed on any items by the consignor. We set up [redacted]'s items in a well advertised, public, and fair auction. It took three auctions to complete all of the items that were put on consignment for [redacted]. Per contract, [redacted] initialed the 35% commission space, as well as initialed the space the contract reserves that any items that sell for $10.00 or less is not credited to the consignor. [redacted] also signed the contract agreeing to receiving a check 45 days after each auction, this does not imply the pick up date of the items. The dining room table did not sell for $10.00, it sold for $20.00. We do not strive for low prices, as we profit from a commission base, and pride ourselves on our knowledge of antiques, and well mannered customer service. We began this business to help the people of this beautiful city, because that is what we truly love to do.Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) This business took more than 90 days to respond to me at all. They did not return numerous telephone calls and emails. They took more than 90 days to send payment, despite the contract stating I would be paid in 45 days. Other appraisals of the items in my home by other auctioeers were well in excess of $1000, and Anchor Auctions paid me a little more than $300. Much of what they took from the home has simply disappeared and never been accounted for. They never discussed with me the option of setting a reserve for any my items, or I certainly would have done so. I would expect more common sense than to let a dining room set worth $500-$800 sell for $20. This business is either grossly incompetent, unethical, or both.

We sold items at auction and have never been paid for them.Within the last severalm months, we have sold several items at auction with Anchor Auctions and we have not been paid for them. We have called several times, visited several times, and it has been over four months. No reply to our demands to get paid for our items. We have been told by other auctioneers in town that they are closing their doors. We have purchased several items and have always paid for our items.Desired SettlementTo look into their business practices and receive our money for goods sold by them. I truly believe they are going to take other people's items and skip town with everyone's money.

I called [redacted] who I was told owned Anchor Auctions, to sell some stuff of mine. They came to my home in Sparks and picked up various items that I wanted to have auctioned off. Months down the road, I asked one of the employees of Anchor Auctions how much I had made on the sale of my items. I was told two different times by various employees that it was 400 and something dollars. I tried several times to collect the money owed me but there was always an excuse from the employees. I tried emailing [redacted] several times but no one would answer. I called and left messages but no one would call me back. I had also purchased an item fro the auction on line in which I went in and paid for the item. The item could never be found and I was promised week after week that they would find it for me. Finally I see that they have permanently closed. I am guessing I am out of luck on collecting the monies they owe me.Desired SettlementThe business owes me at a minimum 440.00, plus an antique birthing stool.

On 9/20 [redacted] with Anchor Auctions came to the estate that I am an executor for and picked up several items to put up for auction. He said he would be in touch the following week. I never heard anything from him so I waited approx. 3 - 4 weeks and contacted him. I was told that his computer had crashed and it would be fixed that evening and he would call the next day and let me know where we stood. He did not call the next day. I called back on 10/21 and spoke to Connie and she said she would get back to me either that evening or Thursday the 22nd at the latest. I called back on the 23rd because I had not heard from her and she was not in, the person I spoke to said he would get a hold of her and have her call me. I never heard from her on Friday. I called back on the 27th and left a message and threatened to get the police involved and they called right back and said they had everything ready. The next day [redacted] called and said we should list what is left one more weekend and he would meet us on Monday and have a check ready. I have called several times this week and just get an answering machine and no return call.Desired SettlementPay us what is owed and let us pick up anything that is leftFinal Consumer Response

Around Christmas time 2015, after coast to coast move, we contacted Anchor Auctions to try to sell some furniture and accessory items that we could not use due to downsizing. They picked them up and we have not heard from them since. They advertise and their contract reads that they will pay you the monies received after 45 days of the auction. Regretfully, they don't mention HOW MANY DAYS, after the 45 days that they espouse they will mail the check. Neither do they respond to voice messages left for them - too numerous to mention. It would appear from reading some of the posts on the Internet, that this occurs on a fairly routine basis. This is not ethical nor are they performing their fudiciary responsibilities when they take peoples things and then do not reimburse the individual who provided them with the item to sell.Desired SettlementWe would like an accounting of what sold and for how much (there were about 20 items, I.E. night stands, drop leaf table, curio cabinet, TV trays, brand new leather office chair, basket, bathroom, accessories, etc. We would also like to be paid our share for these items.

Failure to pay for items auctionedWe participated in an auction held April 19,2014As per the contract we would receive payment 45 days after the auction. As of today, Aug., 2,2014 we are still waiting to hear from Anchor Auctions. I have called several times and sent an email to [redacted] the bookkeeper. They don't return phone calls or responded to email. They have not supplied us with an itemized statement of our things that were sold that in April so we don't even know an amount to expect from them. Fortunately, I have pictures of all my things they took for the auction along with a list. I did visit the auction house to make sure my items were there and saw them displayed for the April 19 sale. They are not honoring a legal contract and their customer service is non-existent.Desired SettlementPayment in full for all my items auctioned along with an itemized statement.

I have been trying for months to receive payment for my consignment from 9/27/15 for "Lot # : 55 - CAPEHART JUKEBOX" as well as 2 shelves I consigned. I have been told the check has been sent multiple times and it hasn't arrived. Recently I have been unable to contact by either phone or email.Desired SettlementResolution would be the payment for the items I consigned
