Good day,I am familiar with this complaint. We do like to hear feedback from our customers, however, this customer called us shouting and threatening legal action based on falsifying our rates. The customer is mistaken and was presented with all of the data needed to make a fair decision. On Saturday...
(6/3/2017), [redacted] and her group of 6 traveled 21.45 miles one way and another 21.21 miles back (round trip of 42.66 miles). She ordered 2 boats... even after receiving a receipt for the first transaction, she ordered another boat. She traveled with 2 different drivers on 2 different vessels. That is the nature of our business... on-demand water transportation. This is a premium service on privately owned boats. Our rates are public information and are $15 per person + $15/mile (mileage is for entire group, not per person). The math checks out in this scenario. I always check for anomalies in the GPS tracking first... but in this case, there were no anomalies. So this customer was fairly billed. (($15 * 6) + (21.45 * $15) + ($15 *6) + (21.21 * $15))They spent 1.5 hours each way on a $150,000+ boat(s) and traveled over 40 miles... there is no way that service can be $15 per person. As far as "advertising our pricing"... What the customer is referencing is a news article that was done on us. This was NOT paid news. This was done by News Channel 4 in St. Louis, MO. As I recall, the clip did mention that the service "started off at $15 per person" which is true. Either way, this was a media source... not an advertising source. So Anchor had no control of what was published. The customer also presented several other "options" of "comparable" services. None of which include an on-demand boat with an operator. And none met the quality of boat we provided. Also, the customer is failing to understand the additional fees they would incur for fuel.In my opinion, this is a case of a person who purchased a premium service and has no grasp on the actual costs involved in boating. They are so far off base that it would be near impossible to educate a customer like this. They simply do not belong on the water or on a boat. Services were rendered at the standard rate. In other scenarios, I would provide a promo code or discount. Since the customer was rude, I will not be providing any kind of discount. [redacted]Founder & CEOAnchor Technologies, LLC[redacted]
