Good Evening,I apologize for the delayed responseMy spouse is out of the country and have not been able to review the response from Anchor Construction with him until recently The response from Chris, owner of Anchor Construction, is still arguable My husband and I will pay, as stated before the material charges less the material we paid he is still claimingMy statements are not fraudulent as he is stating The design change was prior to ordering material and I have email and text documentation stating such In addition, I never sent Keith, his employee, on additional jobs other than dropping off and picking up a door from the mill work on a prior job that to this day is still incomplete and I have to hire another contractor to come in and repair and complete The deck that is being complained about is insufficient and not professionally complete The decking is bowed causing it to not lay correctly and lifts in areas that are not properly securedFurther more the major change I made was not completing the closed storage in the wrap bench which was on the original proposal because we discussed it being somewhat waterproof for patio storageI was informed later it wouldn't be so elected not to have it done and the fact knowing originally it was going to be done the material wasn't ordered resulting in more material I would have to purchaseBesides the original material order of over $5300, I paid Home Depot over $for additional material that was needed, which I ordered via phone per Keith's needs to complete the deck to prevent further delay and paid for delivery of those materials.I would like this response to his, be added to the complaint please Again, I apologize for the delayWe agree to pay the material charges less the material I paid that he is claiming and I have receipts for I appreciate the Revdex.com's time, mediation, and assistance in this claim.Respectfully, [redacted] **Yelm, WA

Anchor Construction disagrees with the statements made by Mrs [redacted] The deck project had many changes, including a major design change that impacted the time and labor costs involvedUnfortunately, I made many of the agreements for the changes and increase in costs verbally and through text messages and did not submit revised bids in writingI trusted her verbal commitments and, obviously, that trust is misplaced She stated that she knew the design change would not be free She directed Keith to do items not within the scope of work The calculations she is discussing regarding the material cost was only the calculations for the new deck design She wanted to know the exact material cost I told her I would calculate the material costs and informed her the labor would change and the materials costs might change as well, since estimating the materials needed is not possible and every project requires some additional items as site and construction conditions dictate Additionally, trying to be nice, I didn’t want to have her pay for materials over and above what was needed and then possibly lose money or have to deal with returns We have provided a detailed spreadsheet listing the additional items purchased, store location, date and amount I did not send the actual receipts as they were the only proof I had purchased the items I told her the labor charge would be increasing also as the deck design went from straight boards to herringbone, this change alone would increase cost considerably since in straight line construction, the number of cuts required would be minimal Herringbone requires every single board to be cut twice to account for the angles The labor costs on the final invoice were also discounted, again, trying to be a nice guy The costs had nothing to do with any of the items she stated caused the delays The delays were directly due to the deck design changes (which also occurred during the construction of the deck) and working conditions often dictated by Mrs [redacted] (requiring Keith to make trips or do other projects) When I sent the final invoice, she did not remit paymentMultiple attempts were made to via phone calls and emails since December to contact this customer to initiate a meaningful discussion and come to a mutually agreeable resolutionShe did not respond and then I received this notice.I would like to have this issue now come to resolution so I am only asking for the materials purchased I will not request that she honor her other numerous verbal commitments for this deck project I do hope that she enjoys the use of the deck with her family this summer

Anchor Construction disagrees with the statements made by Mrs***? The deck project had many changes, including a major design change that impacted the time and labor costs involvedUnfortunately, I made many of the agreements for the changes and increase in costs verbally and through
text messages and did not submit revised bids in writingI trusted her verbal commitments and, obviously, that trust is misplaced? She stated that she knew the design change would not be free? She directed Keith to do items not within the scope of work? The calculations she is discussing regarding the material cost was only the calculations for the new deck design? She wanted to know the exact material cost? I told her I would calculate the material costs and informed her the labor would change and the materials costs might change as well, since estimating the materials needed is not possible and every project requires some additional items as site and construction conditions dictate? Additionally, trying to be nice, I didn’t want to have her pay for materials over and above what was needed and then possibly lose money or have to deal with returns? We have provided a detailed spreadsheet listing the additional items purchased, store location, date and amount? I did not send the actual receipts as they were the only proof I had purchased the items? I told her the labor charge would be increasing also as the deck design went from straight boards to herringbone, this change alone would increase cost considerably since in straight line construction, the number of cuts required would be minimal? Herringbone requires every single board to be cut twice to account for the angles? The labor costs on the final invoice were also discounted, again, trying to be a nice guy? The costs had nothing to do with any of the items she stated caused the delays? The delays were directly due to the deck design changes (which also occurred during the construction of the deck) and working conditions often dictated by Mrs*** (requiring Keith to make trips or do other projects)? When I sent the final invoice, she did not remit paymentMultiple attempts were made to via phone calls and emails since December to contact this customer to initiate a meaningful discussion and come to a mutually agreeable resolutionShe did not respond and then I received this notice.I would like to have this issue now come to resolution so I am only asking for the materials purchased? Good Evening,I apologize for the delayed response. My spouse is out of the country and have not been able to review the response from Anchor Construction with him until recently.  The response from Chris, owner of Anchor Construction, is still arguable.  My husband and I will pay, as stated before the material charges less the material we paid he is still claiming. My statements are not fraudulent as he is stating.  The design change was prior to ordering material and I have email and text documentation stating such.  In addition, I never sent Keith, his employee, on additional jobs other than dropping off and picking up a door from the mill work on a prior job that to this day is still incomplete and I have to hire another contractor to come in and repair and complete.  The deck that is being complained about is insufficient and not professionally complete.  The decking is bowed causing it to not lay correctly and lifts in areas that are not properly secured. Further more the major change I made was not completing the closed storage in the wrap bench which was on the original proposal because we discussed it being somewhat waterproof for patio storage. I was informed later it wouldn't be so elected not to have it done and the fact knowing originally it was going to be done the material wasn't ordered resulting in more material I would have to purchase. Besides the original material order of over $5300, I paid Home Depot over $600 for additional material that was needed, which I ordered via phone per Keith's needs to complete the deck to prevent further delay and paid for delivery of those materials.I would like this response to his, be added to the complaint please.  Again, I apologize for the delay. We agree to pay the material charges less the material I paid that he is claiming and I have receipts for.  I appreciate the Revdex.com's time, mediation, and assistance in this claim.Respectfully,[redacted]Yelm, WA. 98597
