This customer received her entire order for freeMy office mailed her daughter the information to redeem her photo products in MarchThe information to redeem is also included in the ordering information her daughter received in September We did everything appropriately on our endSometimes

I was not in my office the day of this situation, but was made aware as soon as it happened.   On May 21, 2015, one of my temporary employees completed a ring order that was placed for [redacted].  My employee did price the ring out at a sale price of $285.00. ...

The ring chosen was not part of the promotional price.  This was an error on my employee.  As stated on my order form, "ALL ORDERS WILL BE AUDITED AND ERRORS CORRECTED".  One of my full time employees was processing the order and noticed the error and immediately contacted the customer.  The parents of [redacted] came to my office to handle the situation.  They were speaking to my employee that took the order and were very persistent in a calm but demeaning manner to receive the ring at the price originally quoted.     After awhile of overhearing what was taking place, my wife calmly walked up to the sales counter and observed the conversation.  As time went on, she interrupted the father and said, "sir, I am going to stop you right there".  This is when my wife showed them on the order form that all orders will be audited and errors corrected.  The mother told her that this is a contract and she had her attorney review it and that they will take legal action.  This is when my wife ended any dealings with them.  She gave them a card and told them they can have their attorney contact our attorney and that their conversation was done.  They continued to complain to my temporary employee and this is when my wife told them they needed to exit the premises or she would be forced to call the police.   A few days later (June 2, 2015), I contacted the mother to try and resolve the issue.  I told her that most all rings we have to offer are on sale, but the one selected was not.  I asked if she would like to choose any of the rings that are of the $219.00 or $285.00 sale price.  She said that is unacceptable and she would handle it legally.  This was the end of that conversation.   Soon after my conversation with the mother, her husband called me and went on and on about having a $3000.00 retainer with his attorney.  He was lecturing me in a calm, yet stern voice.  I had no opportunity to talk.  When I tried, he interrupted and would continue to lecture.  Finally, I had enough and while he continued to lecture, I told him I am hanging up the phone and did so.   I have dealt with all walks of life in my business.  I do understand that this is a special time in, not only the kids life, but the parents as well.  I know first hand with my own children of the same age as their son.  Some people try to get their way using a "BULLY" tactic to scare people in giving them their way.  This is what was happening here.   I am completely aware that reputation is key in a successful business.  I started this business 22 years ago and have a philosophy to " Kill the Customers with Kindness".  Sometimes, their are customers that do not give you the opportunity to do this.   I have attached copies of the receipts and refund information for your review.  If you would like copies of the price sheet and promo pricing, let me know and I will pass that along as well.   Let me know if you have any further questions.   Regards,   [redacted] South Texas Balfour, LLC  [redacted] www.[redacted].com
