Aloha, My name is Linda K***, the owner of the music store where Daniel G [redacted] is employed Thank you for taking the time to help resolve this issue This incident occurred while Daniel was working and trying to help other customers with musicHe is a family man supporting a wife and children I've always had people comment on how helpful he is It’s not like him to have emotional outbursts like this I asked him about the incident He stated the phone was previously repaired by someone else, prior to him working on it On the first visit by the customer, Danny was asked to repair a problem screen which he didHe always uses parts directly from [redacted] to do the repairs He is a highly skilled certified technician and and takes great pride in being meticulous, precise and efficient He did the job the customer asked and they were happy when they left He is that way selling music for me as well Two weeks later, they came back with a secondary problemI’m not sure what that conversation was about but Daniel took the time to discuss their issues again All seemed well According to Daniel, they came back again a few days ago saying they went to an [redacted] outlet and came back stating Danny’s work was ‘shoddy’ and that Daniel didn’t use [redacted] parts I’m not sure if this ‘outlet’ opened the phone up and tried to effect repairs but I will ask him about it Regardless, on this visit to Daniel, things escalated, they were furious and demanding their money backDaniel repeatedly asked them to wait because he was with customers, but they refused and kept interrupting him I’m not sure if this is when Daniel allegedly had his outburst, but he finally had to call security because they would not leave my store and disrupted my business and customers In my opinion, Daniel did an excellent job and used the correct parts Even after this incident, he went home and researched the problem and sent them the answer of how to work around itThis is the kind of employee I have and I am gratefulSincerely, Linda K***

Here is an e-mail that I received from *** about the training:“…It is true that they only reference to our repair manuals and *** *** videos on their training - the very same training materials that we provide to our 2400+ *** spread across the U.SThose repair training videos are presented in great detail by our master technician in HQ and we also have a dedicated team should they have any issues, need assistance, or questions about the training and/or repair…”The previous repair was done 18-months agoIt was another 3rd party that replaced the screen of our ***The power button functioned well before and after that repairPower button and all other buttons worked normally (and we never had issues with those buttons) until ***-HAWAIIAN MUSIC STORE tech in Kauai replaced the screenWhen I spoke with two *** tech, they both indicated that a screen replacement by an untrained person can cause the issues we are having with the phone.*** tech/representative who stated that his work has a 30-day warranty.There was no disclosure about the warranty limitations regarding the previous repairsWhat company in the US charge someone $and claims that they provide no warranty because someone else (another 3rd party) did a similar repair before? I spoke with *** on the phone as well as your tech rep before the repairNobody warned us about the lack of warrantyThis is a bad business practice. Kauai is a touristic island and *** & HAWAIIAN MUSIC STORE take advantage of tourist that will be leavening the island soon by not disclosing any warranty limitationsI want to warn the public not to deal with these businesses!

I am rejecting this response because: We paid $to get our screen repaired by *** tech/representative who stated that his work has a 30-day warranty.***-HAWAIIAN MUSIC STORE tech/representative broke perfectly functioning phone.***-HAWAIIAN MUSIC STORE tech/representative admitted at one point that he was never properly trained and learned the *** repair trade by watching *** videosHow could *** allowed this to happen!!When we - very nicely and patiently - asked Danial to repair our phone, he didn’t bother responding to our calls/e-mails of one full week.When we showed up at his shop (HAWAIIAN MUSIC STORE), we were yelled and screamedWe were called “Fking Is” again and againThanks to the technology, most of our conversation with him was videotaped - which will be submitted to any agency who requests it.*** tech/representative was very sweet and accommodating until he get paidOnce he charged the $90, all of a sudden he became a different person.*** and HAWAIIAN MUSIC STORE as a company are running a scam: There was no disclosure about the warranty limitations regarding the previous repairsWhat company in the US charge someone $and claims that they provide no warranty because someone else (another 3rd party) did a similar repair before? supporting a wife and 3 children.  I've always had people comment on how helpful he is.  It’s not like him to have emotional outbursts like this.  I asked him about the incident.  He stated the phone was previously repaired by someone else, prior to him working on it.  On the first visit by the customer, Danny was asked to repair a problem screen which he did.
