Review: I purchased a 1996 Chrysler Cirrus, the same day I drove it home it started a puddle of oil on the driveway, I called them to report ht e problem and was told they were not responsible because I bought the car as is. they knew about the problem and do not tell me in order to sell the car. It cost me $600.00 to repair the leaks!Desired Settlement: they should pay for the repairs I had to incur because they knew about the problem and did not tell me in order to sell the car.

Response:
On 7-10-2013 Mr. [redacted] came to our car-lot to see about purchasing a 96 Cirrus 4Dr. Sedan with 79,325 miles. The selling price was $2386.
Mr. [redacted] checked out the car. No oil leaks. Then he took it for a test drive; car drove fine and again, no oil leaks. Mr [redacted] signed the papers which included As-Is No Warranty Buyer Guide. He declined our two day Contract Cancellation Option. He agreed to leave the car at our lot until he made final payment which he did on 8-17-2013.
During those 5 weeks, the car stayed parked and un-driven and there was no oil dripping underneath. When he came to drive it off, again there was no oil underneath.
Two days later Mr. [redacted] called us from Los Angeles and said that the car is leaking oil and was afraid to drive it back . He later drove it down to San Diego and met with a mobile mechanic that we recommended and that we use ourselves to see about repairing the leak at a discounted price. I understand that he used the services of some other mechanic to fix it.He later came to our office to pick up the registration stickers and license plates from me and there was no talk of this issue.
We are very fair to our customers and give them every opportunity to check and test the vehicle even to the extent of bringing their mechanic to check the car before they buy it. We also explain the AS-IS feature. We also tell all our customers that should they ever need to do a service or repair we will be happy tohelp them get any discounts that we are able to get as dealers.

Regards,
First of I was never offered or explained the 2 day cancellation policy and I left a down payment on the car, it started leaking oil after I paid the final payment and drove it to L.A.! They knew about the leak because [redacted] kept telling me He could get any repairs needed for a discount, which in the end proved not to be true, my mechanic did the repairs for $95.00 less than His mechanic. They should pay for the repair and respond to all of the numerous complaints they have on YELP.com, I should have done more research b4 I did business with Anchor Motors!
