Anchor Moving Systems Reviews (2)

Review: Anchor was contracted with a third party to deliver an item to our home. They mislead both myself and the third party regarding their ability to provide service. Third party was advised that delivery was never scheduled when we made several attempts to contact Anchor and get this item delivered. Refuse to answer questions regarding product and returned it to third partyDesired Settlement: Anchor should pay the fee to have product redelivered

Response:

Revdex.com - I have finished my investigation into this complaint and below my home delivery dispatcher spelled out what we went through on our side.

A few issues I have are, the Talked to company dates. Yes Mr. [redacted] did talk to us on 7/29 and as the response from my dispatcher says we advised Mr. [redacted] that we delivered his area on Wednesdays. He also states that he talked to us on 8/4 & 8/11. Both of those dates are Sundays. We do not have staff in our offices on Sundays.

Refused to answer questions regarding product, the only answers we would give are the delivery of the items and again my dispatcher covers that.

We can't redeliver the product because Mr. [redacted] cancelled the order of purchase and the items were sent back.

Hi [redacted],

Review: We recently used Anchor Moving to move the contents of our home, and as instructed by them, purchased insurance from Anchor. Upon completion of the move the guys who moved us pointed out some, but not all, of the things which they broke during the move. We were told to file an insurance claim and our stuff would either be repaired or replacement costs would be paid.

About 1 month after filing our claim a call to their [redacted] seemed to prompt them to finally take action. They dispatched a furniture repair person who came out to our home and fixed some of our damaged furniture. The repair person told us that he would contact Anchor and report what he fixed and inform them about the furniture that could not be repaired. After waiting another month we again had to contact the [redacted] because we had not heard anything. She told us that they would process a check and that we'd have our money in 30 days. Now, 3 MONTHS LATER, we had to call AGAIN as we hadn't received anything from Anchor. They told us that the 'checks in the mail today' and we should have it soon. We FINALLY received a check from Anchor, but the problem is that the claim amount for the furniture that couldn't be repaired was $480.00, and they sent us a check for approximately $157.00. We were told that they found comparable furniture online at [redacted] that only cost $157.00. What they described as comparable was not even close to the same type or quality of furniture that they damaged.

Throughout this entire ordeal, we called and emailed the [redacted] but never heard anything from her. Both calls and emails went un-returned. In our last email to Anchor we stated that unless we heard from them that we'd be contacting the Revdex.com for help in getting this issue resolved, but even that didn't prompt a call back from Anchor.Desired Settlement: We want to be paid for the balance of the full replacement cost of our damaged furniture, $323.00. That's $480 - $157 (they already sent us).

Response:

First I would like to apologize for the length of time it is taking to get this claim resolved. We have repaired all items that were damaged and only have the kitchen cart to cash-out. Our repairman had originally told us that a like kind and quality cart could be purchased at [redacted] for the $157.00 that we mailed to the [redacted]'. Since then our repair person e-mailed us and said that he gave us a bad comparable on the cart and the new comparable would be $199.00. As we have no substantiation from the [redacted]' pertaining to the value of the cart we follow the advice of our repair person, which by the way is a third party, not connected to Anchor Moving Systems. Anchor uses several repair firms depending what has been damaged. I have a copy of the e-mail that states the neww comparable is $199,00, but I don't know how to attach it to this e-mail. If the [redacted]' have any type opf substantion for the replacement value of the cart I would re open the claim and take that into consideration. Please have all correspondence sent to me, [redacted], as I have taken over the settlement of this claim.
