Anchorage Chrysler Dodge Center Reviews (11)

After reviewing all paper work associated with this deal, all I can come up with is that Mr [redacted] is confusedThe book value on the vehicle that he picked out was at $ All paper that he signed had his vehicle priced at 18,500.00, documenting that he knew the price was at 18,He also stated that after his first payment he couldn't afford the vehicle, why didn't he come to the dealership and complain about the price at that timeInstead of making this complaint months laterIf there was a like vehicle priced on our website at 14,800.00, it had to be a wheel drive, which he must rather have the 4xthat was priced at 18,There was no bait and switch, and there was no fraudBook value on the 4xthat he bought was at, or around 18,There is no way we would have priced it at 14,

We have called the customer and resolved the issue with him, he stated that he was pleasedHe was inadvertently charged incorrectly and refunded not only for the mistake, but also for some services provided as an apologyWe regret making the mistake in the first place and the persons involved in the error have been instructed as to avoid making similar mistakes in the future

Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me I could not afford an $18,dollar vehicle at that time, and I don't remember that as the price of the vehicle I was going through a divorce/separation at that time - moving out of my house, trying to reach a settlement for my daughter, finding a place for my two teenage sons and I to live, etc I didn't follow up with the dealer on the loan because I had too many other things going on, and I assumed that the loan was high because of the extended warranty and gap insurance I would have to admit that it was a stressful time for me and maybe, as the dealer said, I am not remembering things correctly All I have is my memory and I do not think that is enough If I am remembering incorrectly, I owe the dealership an apology I do apologize if this is the case, and I consider the matter closed Sincerely, [redacted]

Mr. E[redacted], that the said vehicle a 2013 Chevy Silverado VIN#[redacted] was just taken in on trade and had not been through our inspection process at that time, and was made aware the vehicle could not be sold/ delivered until going through our inspection. After our inspection process was complete we were made aware of the enormous amount of aftermarket modifications to this vehicle as a trade in by our mechanic. At this time Mr. E[redacted] informed Mr. [redacted] that we be selling the vehicle “AS IS” due to the modification that had been performed prior to trade in to our dealership, and that we could not offer the 3 month or 3,000 mile warranty.   Mr. [redacted] reply was that he understood and he signed the “AS IS” warranty statement and purchased the vehicle.  Approximately a week after purchase, the customer called Mr. E[redacted] and stated that there was an engine light/coolant light on and it would not go off and that coolant system not venting, customer dropped vehicle off.  We verified concern system was not venting at reservoir, not relieving pressure.  Replaced coolant reservoir cap, brought to operating temperature and let cool.  System still not relieving pressure seems to have air in system, tested for hydrocarbons none detected.  Vacuum bled system three times and purged system as per diagnostics and still getting air.  Purged three more times with same results.  Mr. [redacted] statement of the vehicle having a bad head gasket and hydro locked is not accurate as our hydrocarbon test proved that not to be the case.  If the vehicle actually hydro locked then the vehicle would not start at all.As noted on original inspection process:  Vehicle has been heavily modified including the coolant system which had hoses cut and blocked off and parts deleted. Customer was made aware of modifications before purchase and accepted “AS IS” on date of purchase.Customer was given the option to trade the truck back in to Anchorage Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM for a newer truck with less miles and still under factory warranty, customer did not want to trade due to having less options and being completely stock.  Customer opted to keep the modified 2013 Chevy Silverado.Due to customer signing the “AS IS” at time of purchase knowing that we could not warranty the vehicle when sold, as well as offering to allow Mr. [redacted] the option of trading vehicle in does not warrant Anchorage Chrysler Dodge responsible for any repairs on this vehicle.Sincerely,Corey M[redacted]

We have spoken with [redacted] and set up a follow up appointment For Monday 8th and set him up with a specified new Advisor. [redacted] indicated that he was satisfied with the arrangements and that he would have his vehicle dropped off in the am.

I could not afford an $18,500 dollar vehicle at that time, and I don't remember that as the price of the vehicle.
I was going through a divorce/separation at that time - moving out of my house, trying to reach a settlement for my daughter, finding a place for my two teenage sons and I to live, etc.
I didn't follow up with the dealer on the loan because I had too many other things going on, and I assumed that the loan was high because of the extended warranty and gap insurance.
I would have to admit that it was a stressful time for me and maybe, as the dealer said, I am not remembering things correctly.
All I have is my memory and I do not think that is enough.
If I am remembering incorrectly, I owe the dealership an apology.
I do apologize if this is the case, and I consider the matter closed.
Sincerely, [redacted]

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:I feel that this company sold me a known "lemon" vehicle....

This vehicle has had many issues and will probably continue to have issues in the future. They say they are fixing the truck but they have been saying that since the truck was first sold to the original owner who traded the vehicle back after 5000 miles. I should have stayed with the Ford brand but I needed a dually vehicle, and all Ford had was new ones. I would like to consider this case closed. This dealership pulled a fast one on me and I will not be a returning customer or recommend them to anyone.

18,500.00. He also stated that after his first payment he couldn't afford the vehicle, why didn't he come to the dealership and complain about the price at that time. Instead of making this complaint 18 months later. If there was a like vehicle priced on our website at 14,800.00, it had to be a 2 wheel drive, which he must rather have the 4x4 that was priced at 18,500.00. There was no bait and switch, and there was no fraud. Book value on the 4x4 that he bought was at, or around 18,500.00. There is no way we would have priced it at 14,800.00.
