Dear Mr. [redacted]:
We were very concerned when we received your letter dated August 28, 2013
regarding your stay at Anchorage Point Apartments.
Upon reviewing your history we confirmed that on your rental application dated October
25th, 2012 you checked “No” on the AMA Application “(3) Will a pet
or assistive animal of any type live in your apartment?”
In addition, we were unable to verify any authentication of a doctor’s signed
recommendation and verification by our office informing management of an
assistive animal.
Based on Anchorage Point community policies which you signed at move in, “Pets,
including those belonging to guests and visitors, are not allowed on AP
property and that there will be a $500 fine for each violation of this policy. *ADA
Exemption: Assistive or Therapy animals are allowed on property once resident
provides the AP Office with a current signed recommendation or prescription
from a licensed physician for each assistive animal required and proof of
current registration and immunization is also required prior to move in.”
At the time of the incident you did not provide the AP office with a current
signed recommendation or prescription. In addition the carpet in your apartment
had to be replaced due to a strong urine smell.
We must follow the same guidelines with every applicant and resident regarding
assistive animals and damage to the apartment.
I apologize for any inconvenience this situation may have caused. Anchorage Point
Apartments appreciates your feedback.
Thank you,
Anchorage Point Management
The MGMT took part of my deposit because I attempted to check out at 1200. They constantly misrepresent how fees and services will be applied. There web site clearly states that a deposit is required and is 100% refundable upon check out if your unit is clean and undamaged. It says nothing about taking any fees out of deposit. Web site also clearly states that five meal tickets shall be provided per week. The two weeks I stayed there only four tickets were provided. This company misrepresents it services and charges fees, rent , etc for services not provided.
