Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2016/02/08) */
The initial lease between Chandana Pointe and *** ***/*** *** was to end 9/30/We began sending notices regarding their lease expiration beginning 7/15/
In response to one of the letters they verbally told us that allergies
were forcing them to moveWe told them to be sure to give us a written day notice by 9/to vacate at the end of their lease
As of 9/we did not hear from the residents therefore I called and spoke with *** as I thought they probably forgot to give noticeHowever she said they still hadn't found a placeI explained that the lease would then renew on a month to month basis & explained what that meantIn summary our rent terms are calendar months & a notice must be given according to said termSo a notice must be given on or before the 1st to avoid being responsible for the following month
Knowing that they planned to move, we could have given them a notice requiring they move 9/This would have been a better time for us to receive and re-rent the apartmentHowever, we have never done that as we prefer to allow our residents to move at their convenience rather than cause them a hardship that may involve forcing them to move twiceWe DO, however, have certain expectations of our residents tooWe DO expect them to be responsible to the terms of the lease, especially with the flexibility allowed with a month to month
We received notice on 10/17/stating they would be moving 10/31/With little notice and approaching holidays, this resulted in a longer than usual amount of rent lossThis apartment remained vacant until January 19thAccording to the terms of the lease they are responsible to pay November's rent
No other charges were assessed to them for damage or cleaning, we only asked that they pay the rent which is due under the contract
On another note, I do wish to apologize for the delay in responding to this consumerJanuary appears to be the date this was generated, which is the same date that I had a death in the family as well as an employeeThis tragedy caused some absence from workYou may consider allowing a bit more of a time frame for responses as life is very unpredictable

It was not allergies, it was asthma of a very serious nature WITH a doctor's recommendation we move out as soon as possibleSince we needed a place without carpet, we had to take one at the first chanceWe are absolutely not responsible for any rent during any time we were NOT living at the apartment complexI will not apologize for my wife's health or give you free money based on your lack of any attempt to find renter's to replace us since you knew we were leaving for months ahead of timePerhaps the difficulty in filling that apartment is word is getting around what time of management runs Chandana PointeWe want our $deposit back and now an additional $for the absolute absurdity and ridiculousness of this whole thingShould I send a bill for my time in dealing with this to the main office?

Once again we received notice days in advance of the move out dateA few times during the months that you lived here you stated that you would be moving and each time we informed you of what you would need to do to give proper noticeWe gave you two letters regarding your lease expiration with no responseWe asked you when you paid September & October's rent what your plans were and made a phone call, to which you could still not let us know when you would be moving
A lease is in place to protect both parties involved and has responsibilities for both as well
We offered to reduce your balance from $to $We will offer that once more
We have great residents here and many have actually lived here before and returnedRegretfully we will receive friction from time to time from those who either can not abide by lease rules and regulations or who cannot afford to pay rentWe do adhere to our lease policies and believe it is the best thing to do in order to avoid chaos and run an effective business
A month to month lease is very flexibleWith your lease, your only requirement when moving was to give notice on or before the first of the month to vacate at the end of the monthMost people will coordinate this with both their new rental and their present
OFFER:
Reduce to $if paid in full by 3/1/and will report lease fulfilled

I'm not going to keep repeating myselfYou knew we were moving, we told you, end of storyI've never paid anybody rent money for a time period I didn't live in an apt and I won't start nowI've always given adequate notice and that never changedOur apartment was never shown that I was aware of, even though you knew we were moving for months ahead of timeI've never encountered a landlord as greedy, lazy, and downright petty as youNever had a problem with a landlord until nowWe want our $security deposit back, an apology, and now $for the hassleThe amount will continue to go up each time I must deal with this ridiculous issue

Mr. [redacted] got 1 call from our company on July 22nd, 2016 offering our services. He agreed to our offer and the invoice was mailed out on July 26th. We have not contacted Mr. [redacted] since nor have we sent out any “past due” bills as he claims. It is unfortunate that Mr. [redacted] chose to...

needlessly affect our rating with the Revdex.com without once trying to contact us to say that’s there’s some confusion about why he received the invoice in the first place. We are confident that we would have been able to resolve this matter to his satisfaction had he given us the chance. In light of this, we have since written off our invoice and taken down the pages that “describe” his business. We wish to have no further dealings with Mr. [redacted] and Master Transmissions and Auto Repair. Cordially, Client Care Dep’t
