Last week Jake and Tyler came out from Anderson to install parts in the attic (that were still under warranty). They were extremely knowledgeable and explained what they were doing each step of the way. Anderson worked directly with Lennox to get the new part and installed it without issues and hauled away the old. I could tell immediately that the new unit fixed the issue. Very satisfied and have changed from using

Thank you for taking the time to let us know how we are doing. We are so happy you liked Jake and Tyler. They are great assets to Andersen. Thank you for trusting your home to Andersen Heating and Cooling and we look forward to serving you when a need arises!

We have been loyal customers for over 20 years. Through all these years, we have purchased maintenance agreements. Our unit has been consistently serviced twice yearly. When our original system needed replacing, Andersen sold us and installed a Trane. It lasted only 10 years. We then purchased a Lennox unit from Anderson, which they also installed. That Lennox unit turned 2 years old on June 12, 2019. On September 16, 2019, a technician came to perform the fall maintenance. He diagnosed a leaking evaporator coil. He showed me a video of a device whistling, which supposedly diagnosed the problem. In his checklist, he stated that he could not access the evaporator coil to clean it. This technician also stated directly to me that he had cleaned our electronic whole house filter. This repair would cost us over $1100. We declined the repair and got a second opinion from a reputable heating and air company. Their technicians could not find a leak, showed us the easily accessible evaporator coil, and cleaned the filter that had NOT been cleaned. BUYER BEWARE: always get a second opinion before having Andersen make a repair or before buying a new unit from Andersen.

I would just like to say thanks and to provide a positive review for your technician Nelson G. He has serviced my HVAC unit on several occasions, most recently today, and is always very professional, knowledgeable, courteous and efficient. I appreciate the awesome response I receive from Andersen Heating & Cooling whenever I have an HVAC problem. Thank you.

We sincerely appreciate Mr. kind remarks. We think the world of Nelson and he is a very important part of the Andersen Services Team. We thank Mr. for trusting Andersen with his Air Conditioning needs. We look forward to "being there" for Mr. and all of our customers well into the future.

We have been an Andersen satisfied customer for way over a decade. The entire company is a pleasure to work with! We want to especially single out Julie, who has been our service person since we first called Andersen many years ago. She is simply the best - in all categories, professionalism, courtesy, knowledge, cleanliness, communication, etc. She also always follows-up after the work, to make sure we are happy and that everything is just the way we wanted it. She always goes above and beyond. Just a huge pleasure to work with. Thank you.

Wow! What more can be said? We at Andersen sincerely appreciate Mr. vote of confidence. Julie is one of our best "Andersen Ambassadors" that's for certain. Rest assured that she, (and the rest of the team), will "be there" for all your heating and cooling needs into the future.

Today May 21, 2019 Anderson sent a technician named Mr. C to my home to service my unit. What a gentleman. He explained everything he was doing, showed me video of his testing the evaporator and explained the need for biannual service as I watched him tend to the outdoor unit. I highly recommend Mr. C and Anderson as a HVAC service company of choice.

Dear Mr.

Thanks for your kind words for Mr. C We are proud that his manner and communication represented Andersen so well, and that his service today fully satisfied your expectations. Please tell your friends and family!

Sincerely,

Dale A

After living in *** for thirty-two years, and working with the same A/C vendor for all of that time, finding a new one upon our move to Charlotte three years ago was at the top of the "to do" list, and we found that relationship with Andersen Heating & Cooling. I met with four different A/C & heating vendors and was most impressed with Andersen, so much so that we entered into a maintenance contract with them (which we had done with our prior vendor and strongly recommend).
Our current unit was 12 years old and patched together we knew it wasn't long for this world. This past Friday, April 26th, Andersen installed a new *** unit in our home. The entire process was flawless and exceeded our expectations. Jake and Faiz were a great team. They phoned in the a.m., letting us know they were en route. They covered our floors and rugs to protect them from dirt and debris. They worked hard and non-stop for well over six hours straight - period. It's so easy to gripe and complain when something goes wrong, but we seldom take the time to shout out "kudos!" when something goes right or better than we anticipated
Prior to departing, everything was clean and tidy. The unit was up and running and the difference was night and day in the home's humidity level alone. Jake demonstrated the thermostat and answered all of our questions. He even took us outside to point out how quiet the unit is. And this WAS important to us as our guest bedroom is on the other side of the wall where the outside unit is located.
We couldn't be more pleased and truly, that is how we have felt about Andersen since their first visit to our home three years ago. We learned a long time ago that finding a good A/C and heating company is as vital as finding a good mechanic or doctor. You don't want to be making that kind of decision under pressure, especially when your equipment isn't working. Four thumbs up!

Julie just left my home. She was pleasant, professional and extremely knowledgeable of my system. She went beyond what is required I'm sure if her job and u am extremely pleased. I will always request Julie to service ny system. Andersen-you have an incredible employee in Julie. Thank you.

Paid over $1100 for furnace repairs in August in which the technician stated every thing worked properly. Furnace is not working 2 months later
Paid over $1100 for furnace repairs in August in which the technician stated every thing worked properly. Furnace is not working 2 months later. The technician came out and stated the gas valve needed to be replaced. It has been less than 2 months and the gas valve was checked during the first visit and I was assured that it was working fine. It is now getting cold outside and they are saying the gas valve needs a replacement. I called and spoke to Dale A and he confirmed that the gas valve needed to be checked before they did repairs last time. I informed him that his technician stated the gas valve was fine. The heat has not been used up until now and it is not turning on. There was no resolution and I just spent over $1100 to ensure the furnace would work during the winter months and now they are telling me its another $1000. Unfair practice. I have babies at home and I made sure to get it serviced prior to the winter months which was in August. I was assured everything was fine with my furnace and ready to go for the winter by their technician.

Desired Outcome

I would like the gas valve replaced free of charge since I was assured that everything was working properly by their technician. The furnace was just serviced 2 and half months ago.

Andersen Heating & Cooling installed this Heating & Cooling system in 07/23/2001 - the system is now 17 years old. On 08/07/2018 we were called out to determine why the system would not COOL. Our Tech determined that the furnace control board showed overheating damage possibly due to an over voltage condition. He also noticed a smell of natural gas, and identified that the nearby gas pressure regulator was leaking. After pre-approval both of these items were replaced and their functionality was tested - we left the system operational at that time. $1171.00 was collected for these repairs. About 2.5 months later we were again called out to determine why the furnace would not HEAT. After testing, we determined that the Furnace Natural Gas Valve would not open when commanded to open by the Furnace Control Board. Our Tech tested the Control Board signal in two ways and found that the board signal was correct - then he tested the Natural Gas Valve and found the windings to be burned out. The Tech then quoted repair at $760.00. The repair was declined by Mrs. In our telephone discussion, Mrs. asked whether we tested the gas valve at the time of the first repair on 08/07/2018. I advised that our Tech performed an operational test and verified correct operation of the system AT THAT TIME. She said that she could not believe that the gas valve could have failed between 08/07/2018 and the time she found that the furnace would not heat. I advised that the Furnace was over 17 years old, there was no way for me to know, but only that the gas valve must have worked while we were testing in on 08/07/2018. Unfortunately she apparently believes that we did test the gas valves operation, found it failed and then lied about it, or that we saw that it didn't work and did not offer to repair it. I reminded her that our business is to repair equipment and we would not have voluntarily declined to sell her a new gas valve - because that's what we do. Ultimately she (apparently) still believes that we purposely refused to repair a failed gas valve back in 08/07/2018. We think that she is mistaken - BUT in order to show good *** and to avoid needless conflict we will replace that gas valve at our expense. In summary - everyone who reads this must remember that this furnace is over 17 years old and reaching the end of it's useful *** - even after this gas valve is replaced, there are many other worn components that may fail at any time. When Mrs. reads this response, she should call our offices and schedule a time during normal business hours Monday thru Friday to schedule this FREE REPAIR.

Last September, I had Andersen Heating and Cooling come and do routine maintenance on my furnace to get it ready for the winter. My A/C had been serviced that spring and was working fine.
Andersen showed up and went to work on the furnace which is located in my attic. I went into my office to work on drafting a plat leaving him alone to do his job.
He came to me later and showed me what appeared to be a leak in my A/C. He claimed it was there when he opened it up to look inside. His opinion was an expensive part needed replacement with a price of over $2200 including labor. This technician is unlicensed and unqualified to do mechanical work involving repair, replacement or installing the equipment he services.
I let it go until this spring when I needed A/C again. I had the person who installed the system 3 years ago come and look at it for a second opinion. There was no leak and had never been one. All it needed was a Freon recharge and cleaning. No repairs or replacements needed.
All professions or trades that require licenses have activities that don't require licensure. It is standard procedure so people right out of school can get the experience required to take the licensure exam. It is common.
However, the technitian that installed my system used to work for Andersen. He didn't last one day. They tell applicants they can make $50k-$60k a year with $80k possible at a job that pays $12/hr. The only way to make the kind of money they promise is to sell and make commissions. Andersen trains new hires to lie to customers and even vandalize their machinery to make sales. The guy who installed my system quit Andersen the first day and said "I kind of like to sleep at night".
I will never have a maintenance contract again and advise anyone who has one to get a second opinion before replacing anything expensive especially if nothing is wrong before they get there.
If you know any first time buyers or anyone considering a maintenance contract you might advise them to consider this.

Dear Mr. Thanks for giving us a chance to discuss your concerns. First let me say that we at *** guarantee our Diagnostic reports 100%. This is important to assure all our Customers that they can trust our diagnostic techniques. Our reputation for professionalism and honesty is our most valuable possession. Because of this, if we are unable to demonstrate the diagnosed fault in your presence we will take remedial action immediately. In preparation for this response, I reviewed the Service Invoice and viewed our videotaped electronic refrigerant leak search. I am very certain that we accurately diagnosed a refrigerant leak at a specific location on your systems condensing coil. The fact that the person you called for a second opinion needed to add refrigerant confirms that the system has a refrigerant leak. Please call me at*** to schedule an on-site inspection to verify the refrigerant leak to your satisfaction. It is important that we advise you that your system is still under a parts warranty that will minimize your repair expense, if you act promptly. It is clear that you have strong feelings about what you think our business practices might be, but let me assure you that you are mistaken. Please let us demonstrate our honest and accurate diagnosis.

After realizing my present HVAC company was not actually doing the work I was paying for annually for Maintenance, I reached out to *** as a friend had referred them to me. *** came to my house and the experience could not have gone any better. Not only was he personable and kind but he took the time to explain what was needed and advised me in detail. He was patient, understanding and thorough. Being in Sales, I know how important relationship is. People buy from those they trust. *** is a service person and not sales but he won all my business moving forward. I cannot express enough how great it is to have someone that invests the time and makes sure you feel confident and understand all.

Hector was my Maintainance tech. He went above and beyond and was extremely courteous and professional. He cleaned out my system hoses and checked readings, and explained airflow through the intakes, and signed me up for quarterly filter dropped. This gentleman is an asset to your company, the business world needs more like him!

Thanks ANDERSEN!

Anderson recently installed a gas pack (new air conditioner / heater system) for me. They are the BEST. They were very courteous and thorough, answered all my questions and were sure I was satisfied with their work. They explained the equipment and even assisted me with financing. Great company. I had contacted them a few years back and realized I needed to wait to get the equipment. They understood and didn't make me feel I had wasted their time. I knew then I would call on them when I had to replace the equipment. Thank you Andersen.

Andersen Heating & Cooling Response

We are surprised by Mr. Revdex.com Complaint. Mr., PLEASE call our offices at XXX-XXX-XXXX and schedule your second pre-paid Maintenance Visit. We have been making repetitive and extensive efforts to schedule this second Maintenance Visit. In fact, our Call File shows that we called Mr. Toumey's residence on 07/19/17 @ 11:48 am and left a message to schedule the second Maintenance Visit. Since we didn't get a response, we called again 08/03/17 @ 12:09 pm and spoke to an individual who advised that they would "call back after checking their schedule". When we didn't get a call to schedule, we called again 08/09/17 @ 12:02 pm and left a message to schedule this Maintenance Visit. Another call was made 08/24/17 @ 1:59 pm - this time we left another message AND mailed a post card regarding this second Maintenance Visit. We had not received a response yet, so we called again 08/30/17 @ 3 pm - this time we left a message advising that we could schedule his maintenance visit OR renew the Maintenance Agreement with three visits, (instead of two), to assure uninterrupted service. We called again on 09/05/17, spoke with someone, who still did not schedule the visit. FINALLY, our call made on 09/28/17 has a note for internal use that said "not interested in renewing their Maintenance Agreement or scheduling the Maintenance Visit". Andersen Services remains completely willing and eager to complete the second Maintenance Visit at Mr. home - IF he would just call us and schedule it. PLEASE CALL!

We moved to *** about a year ago. During our first month in our house, the air conditioner stopped working. We called Andersen and they came out and fixed our problem. Everything about the experience was great, from the time we called to the when the issue was fixed. This morning, we woke up and one of our air conditioners was not working again. We called Andersen and they came out within two hours. Once again, it was a great experience. Hector was the person who came to our house and fixed the problem. He was excellent! He explained the problem, showed me what was happening and fixed it. Great customer service. We will be signing up for a long term service contract because of the excellent service and great people.
