You perform, in good faith, a series test that lead to a diagnosis and a re*ommended repair. We followed the re*ommended steps from *** and through those steps it lead to a damaged re*eiver hub and based on that proto*ol we re*ommended the re*eiver hub be repla*ed. Mr*** agreed and authorized the repair. We stand by the repla*ement of the re*eiver hub. Mr*** assertion that it should have failed immediately is not a**urate be*ause you *annot put a time frame on when a part is going to fail. A part fails when the stress on the part whether physi*al or ele*tri*al surpasses what it *an take and nobody knows when that will be. Whether it is right away or after several years of operation is the unknown fa*tor in any *ar repair. Anderson Dodge *** Jeep Ram has always maintained the highest standards of *ustomer satisfa*tion in dealing with our *ustomers. We do appre*iate Mr*** business, but I believe Anderson Dodge has fulfilled its obligation in this repair. I am rejecting this response because: if they really think it's my remote start that's causing the problem then I want it done no charge to me or give me a refund on the radio frequency hub module since that wasn't even the issue in the first place. I want a loaner vehicle as well if it's going to take a couple hours to take care of it. I just don't think it's the remote start causing the problem because it would of happened right away and not 2 years down the road. I feel like I deserve something because I've had to take days off at work to take care of the issues this car is having. Thank you

vehicle to us on December 1, 2016 stating that the key fob won’t unlock at times and when he would unlock the door with a physical key the alarm would go off and the car would not start.  We assigned his vehicle to a [redacted] master mechanic, who followed protocol when diagnosing electrical problems involving a key fob and it was diagnosed that it needed a new receiver hub.  The customer was contacted and authorized the work.   On December 28, 2016 Mr. [redacted] returned with his vehicle having similar issues as before.  We inspected his vehicle and advised him that the issue may be coming from the aftermarket remote start he had installed.  We recommended that he should completely remove the remote start system to get a clearer picture of what may be happening.  He declined and left.   On December 31, 2016 Mr. [redacted] returned with his vehicle having similar issues as before after he disabled the remote start system.  Mr. [redacted] authorized us to keep his vehicle and have the mechanic drive the vehicle for several days.  We put a total of 170 miles on his vehicle and were unable to duplicate his problem.  We advised him that it would be best if he completely removed, not just disable, the remote start and restore the wiring to the ignition system back to factory specifications. He declined.   We have acted in good faith diagnosing and repairing Mr. [redacted] vehicle as he has authorized.    Thank you!     [redacted] Controller
