Anderson Fireplace & Spa Reviews (6)

First problem, was having a non Travis dealer work on your stove. CM stating that the auger was installed incorrectly, being they are not a Travis dealer is incorrect. We had you on the schedule 11/21/16 to have a technician come out and determine what was needed to be repaired on that day Travis...

informed me that they would like us to remove the unit and send it back to the factory so they could go through it and make sure it is all up to date for the [redacted]'s.  We delivered it to the Travis factory on 11/22/16 I am waiting to receive it back when we do we will set a schedule with the [redacted]'s and get it back installed asap.

Complaint: [redacted]   This response is exactly what Kevin M[redacted] of Anderson Installations sent me when I requested reimbursement.  I had been dealing with Anderson Installation from 10/23/14 when the system was installed until 3/28/15 when I cancelled them and hired another company with the proper City of Seattle License to complete the job at a cost of $1,889.97.  Not only didn't the system work right from initial installation, was installed backwards, but they were called back to fix holes left in the walls,  refrigeration lines left uninsulated, water leaking on the porch and into the basement, and move the compressor to comply with electrical regulations. Three times they charged the compressor with refrigerant and three times it wasn't right.   Anderson Installation said they were in the process of obtaining the required City of Seattle refrigeration permit. Seattle has no record of them applying from 3/12 until 3/28.   Also it's hard to believe that a company who installs refrigeration equipment didn't know of applicable requirements in jurisdictions where they do business.  Two companies one in Lynnwood and one in Kirkland were aware of the City of Seattle licensing requirements for installing refrigeration equipment.  I feel that Anderson Installation failed to uphold their portion of the sale and install forcing me to finally pay someone with the necessary skills and proper licensing to fix what they should have done on the initial install of 10/23/14Sincerely,[redacted]

Mr. [redacted], In response to your recent letter about reimbursement for service you contracted out to [redacted], you stated it as an "unnecessary expense" I agree. I had you scheduled to have the project completed 3/18/15 you called and cancelled. The permit I obtained a Seattle mechanical...

permit which was needed for the City of Seattle, didn't realize till the first inspection we needed a refrigeration permit also, so I was in the process of obtaining it when you cancelled. Mr. [redacted] you decide to have [redacted] do the work needed so that expense is yours. We were more then willing and able to complete the project.

Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.
Anderson Fireplace & Spas along with Travis Industries worked together to completely repair and reinstall my Lopi pellet stove.  I am very appreciative for the time, effort and dedication to address our concerns and rectify the problem.  Sincerely, [redacted]

The reason for not reimbursing Mr. [redacted] was stated in our previous response.  We were scheduled to deal with all of his complaints and he canceled the repair and hired someone else.  This was an unnecessary expense that he paid.

Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because:  The business wasn't getting the job done and had not obtained or applied for the necessary City of Seattle licenses to continue to work on the heating system.   I have filed a small claims suit as it doesn't appear that the Revdex.com will be able to resolve this.Sincerely,[redacted]
