This tow was a law enforcement vehicle impoundWe are not in control of vehicle ownership, all paperwork goes through the dmvBy law we are required to place a lien on the vehicle within hoursAlso, by law you are required by the dmv to do a "release of liability" within business days of the saleour liens are placed through a company which get all information from the DMV, in which this case it didNot only did we not receive the proper documentation prior to the lien, we didn't see the release of liability after the fact of them "going to the dmv." We are required and are contracted with the law enforcement to follow the rules in which this case was proper ownershipAnyone can say they are someone they are notIf the dmv messed up we would need proper paperwork stating that and will be happy to resolve the issueThe customer [redacted] , still has possession of the title of the car, and was very aggressive and acted violently towards my staffWe do not tolerate such behavior [redacted] 's father also came to the facility to apologize for his sons behavior and confirmed that his son still held the title to the vehicle

I am rejecting this response because: First, the statement “Also, by law you are required by the dmv to do a "release of liability" within business days of the saleour liens are placed through a company which get all information from the DMV, in which this case it did.” This is incorrect, the information of legal ownership was NOT [redacted] They sent the paperwork to him instead of the true legal owner, [redacted] It was verified by the Department of Motor vehicles twice, once over the phone and once in person, that [redacted] has not had ownership since July of I tried to contact Anderson Tow IMMEDIATELY when [redacted] called me with the information he received and the person on the phone was very aggressive, rude and would not provide any assistance to clear this matter upI made arrangements to meet him at Anderson Tow and he did not show upIf I acted aggressively towards anyone of his staff, my assumption would be that law enforcement would have been called, which they were not Second, the statement “ [redacted] 's father also came to the facility to apologize for his sons behavior and confirmed that his son still held the title to the vehicle.” Is also incorrectMy father passed away several years ago from cancer so it is literally impossible for this statement to be accurateAs stated previously, this company is fraudulent I am attaching the paperwork for the proper owner of the vehicle from the Department of Motor Vehicle showing that neither [redacted] nor myself, [redacted] , had ownership of this vehicle prior or after being towedThis same paperwork was also brought in by the owner, [redacted] In addition, as stated in my original statement that he failed to ignore is that the legal owner, [redacted] , went into the facility, gave him photo copies of the paperwork showing she was the true owner and he allowed her to retrieve her possessions from the vehicle in exchange of the keys but did not clear up the ownership information I have attached the original lien letter sent to the wrong owner along with the documentation showing the transfer of ownership from myself to [redacted] back in September of Anderson Tow needs to correct their information before legal action is taken / [redacted] Style Definitions */

I am rejecting this response because:There are several items that have been misconstrued since you have taken possession of this vehicleI did not black out anything since I never received ANY paperwork!!!! Mr [redacted] is the one who sent me a picture when HE received it and he said it was already blacked outThe MAIN concern has been that the lien was in [redacted] .Is this not the case, who do you have as the owner of the vehicle because no one has received anything from Anderson Tow, only what [redacted] received for the "Notice of stored vehicle."If you are now saying the lien is in my name, why did YOUR COMPANY allowed someone, other than myself who is in no way related to me or had any permission from me, to get personal belongings out of the vehicle in exchange for the keys? I would believe your company would have violated the law for theftI did do the transfer paperwork within the guidelines of DMV and as indicated in the original thread, DMV had lost it which I was told by the representative over the phone, its a common problemThe true, legal DOCUMENTED owner is [redacted] I was told by both my lawyer and DMV that legally, you have no rights to lien nor charge anyone other than the legal, documented owner, [redacted] I would love to pickup the vehicle but unfortunately, that would be considered theft since it has not been registered to me since September of Again, please take action to clear this matter up as your company is in several violations of the law

Dear Mr [redacted] I would like to inform you that this matter has been resolvedMrD [redacted] girlfriend came into the office and paid on agreed amount and also signed over the title to the vehicleNo further action is neededThank you for your time and assistance in this matterSincerely, Anderson Tow Staff

Dear Mr*** and Revdex.com thank you for taking the time to respond to why our company did not meet your expectationsWe have every desire to address your needs and provide the best solution available to resolve this issue as soon as possibleAs previously stated in the response, the Acura was towed 11/15/2016, what ever exchange the legal owner (*** ***) and *** *** had is not our responsibility and is out of our handsThe circumstance is unfortunate and we do understand what Nick is saying, but since the lien, which we have to do by law, was put on 11/17/and Mr*** brought in the new registration with *** name on 11/23/(see attached)As you can see that is days after the car being towed and stored, and a few months after he "sold" the vehicle to Ms***Which is in violation with vehicle code *** and ***, ***Since Mr*** failed to transfer the release of liability in a timely manner it unfortunately fell back on himAs you can see the attached document CHP Report clearly states the legal owners name, which Mr*** blacked out in his attachmentMeaning the officer on the scene who looked up the vehicle via VIN and License plate numberDuring a lien process the company we use also uses the DMV recordsAnderson Tow does not put a lien on a certain persons, that all goes through the DMV.EVERY DOCUMENT WE RECEIVE IS FROM EITHER LAW ENFORCEMENT OR DEPTOF MOTOR VEHICLEPLEASE UNDERSTAND WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE TO WHERE A NOTICE IS SENT, AND WE DO UNDERSTAND THAT THE DMV IS NOT ALWAYS UP TO DATE.Anderson Tow is willing to settle this by having the owner/s settle the billThe vehicle is still stored in your yard taking up space and costing the company moneyWe are a business THAT HAS BEEN DOING THIS FOR YEARS and because one man failed to follow the law and transfer the release of liability is a personal problemWe run a clean operation here and abide by the law. The only way to settle is if the bill is paid by *** *** Please accept our sincerest apology for any inconvenience we have caused youAgain we appreciate the feedback, as this will assist us in becoming better at what we do

This tow was a law enforcement vehicle impound. We are not in control of vehicle ownership, all paperwork goes through the dmv. By law we are required to place a lien on the vehicle within 48 hours. Also, by law you are required by the dmv to do a "release of liability" within 5 business days of the...

sale. our liens are placed through a company which get all information from the DMV, in which this case it did. Not only did we not receive the proper documentation prior to the lien, we didn't see the release of liability after the fact of them "going to the dmv." We are required and are contracted with the law enforcement to follow the rules in which this case was proper ownership. Anyone can say they are someone they are not. If the dmv messed up we would need proper paperwork stating that and will be happy to resolve the issue. The customer [redacted], still has possession of the title of the car, and was very aggressive and acted violently towards my staff. We do not tolerate such behavior. [redacted]'s father also came to the facility to apologize for his sons behavior and confirmed that his son still held the title to the vehicle.

Dear Mr. [redacted] I would like to inform you that this matter has been resolved. Mr. D[redacted] girlfriend came into the office and paid on agreed amount and also signed over the title to the vehicle. No further action is needed. Thank you for your time and assistance in this matter. Sincerely, Anderson Tow Staff

I am rejecting this response because:There are several items that have been misconstrued since you have taken possession of this vehicle. 1. I did not black out anything since I never received ANY paperwork!!!! Mr. [redacted] is the one who sent me a picture when HE received it and he said it was already blacked out. 2. The MAIN concern has been that the lien was in [redacted].Is this not the case, who do you have as the owner of the vehicle because no one has received anything from Anderson Tow, only what [redacted] received for the "Notice of stored vehicle."3. If you are now saying the lien is in my name, why did YOUR COMPANY allowed someone, other than myself who is in no way related to me or had any permission from me,  to get personal belongings out of the vehicle in exchange for the keys? I would believe your company would have violated the law for theft. 4. I did do the transfer paperwork within the guidelines of DMV and as indicated in the original thread, DMV had lost it which I was told by the representative over the phone, its a common problem. 5. The true, legal DOCUMENTED owner is [redacted]. I was told by both my lawyer and DMV that legally, you have no rights to lien nor charge anyone other than the legal, documented owner, [redacted]. 6. I would love to pickup the vehicle but unfortunately, that would be considered theft since it has not been registered to me since September of 2016. Again, please take action to clear this matter up as your company is in several violations of the law.

I am rejecting this response because:
First, the statement "Also, by law you are required by the
dmv to do a "release of liability" within business days of the
saleour liens are placed through a company which get all information from the
DMV, in which this case it did." This is incorrect, the information of legal
ownership was NOT [redacted]They sent the paperwork to him
instead of the true legal owner, [redacted] It was verified by the
Department of Motor vehicles twice, once over the phone and once in person,
that [redacted] has not had ownership since July of
I tried to contact Anderson Tow IMMEDIATELY when [redacted] called
me with the information he received and the person on the phone was very aggressive,
rude and would not provide any assistance to clear this matter upI made arrangements
to meet him at Anderson Tow and he did not show upIf I acted aggressively
towards anyone of his staff, my assumption would be that law enforcement would
have been called, which they were not
Second, the statement "[redacted]'s father also came to
the facility to apologize for his sons behavior and confirmed that his son
still held the title to the vehicle." Is also incorrectMy father passed away
several years ago from cancer so it is literally impossible for this statement
to be accurateAs stated previously, this company is fraudulent
I am attaching the paperwork for the proper owner of the
vehicle from the Department of Motor Vehicle showing that neither [redacted] nor myself, [redacted], had ownership of this vehicle prior or
after being towedThis same paperwork was also brought in by the owner, [redacted]
In addition, as stated in my original statement that he
failed to ignore is that the legal owner, [redacted], went into the
facility, gave him photo copies of the paperwork showing she was the true owner
and he allowed her to retrieve her possessions from the vehicle in exchange of
the keys but did not clear up the ownership information I have attached the original lien letter sent to the wrong owner along with the documentation showing the transfer of ownership from myself to [redacted] back in September of
Anderson Tow needs to correct their information before legal
action is taken
