My experiene was horrible. I was referred to this endodontist by my child's dentist for him to do a root canal on a decaying tooth. When I called to make the appointment. I was asked what insurance carrier I was with. I responded Delta Dental and explained to her that there were 2 policies with this carier that would cover my daughter and I proceeded to give her both policies information. [redacted] the receptionist stated that they accepted my insurance and proceeded to confirm the appointment. After arriving at the appointment with my child, she was looked at briefly and then I was told that the procedure that I was referred to him for was not neccessary and that I should go back to her normal dentist and have them simply fill her cavity. As I prepared to leave, [redacted] discloses to me that I am responsible for full payment of $180.00 for this visit out of my own pocket. I feel this method of billing is a complete scam. I feel I was lied to about Delta Dental being a insurance carrier that was accepted in this office. Even a mechanic gives a customer an estimate you dont just fix the car and demand the payment. In this case nothing was fixed or done but a payment was demanded with no explanation other than call your carrier for reimbursement.
