Response to complaint #*** 1. Please refer to the attachment I sent on 10/2/2017....second paragraph, it clearly states that we are a nonsmoking property and guests will be charged a fee for smoking in the room, that MsWilliams initialed at check in, so she clearly was informed2. The Maintenance manager went up to check on the room, because we had received phone calls the night before from guests that it sounded like fighting going on in that room, so we check the rooms before guest leave to make sure there was no damage caused to room...so that is why he said everything was fine.; Thank you *** ***

1. The incidental charges was released day of check out...sometimes it is their bank that waits to release, we have released2. The other charge was for smoking pot in the room....as you can see on the check in sheet we go over this with all guests and let them know there will be a charge for smoking in the room or anywhere on the property3. The housekeeper entered the room to service it, upon opening the door she was hit with the smell of marijuana; she closed the door and called for her supervisorThe supervisor entered the room to confirm and service the room, when she entered and turned the corner she noticed the guest was passed out on the bed and marijuana was on the night stand4. She left the room and informed front desk5. At checkout we went through the charges with the guest, she claims that the smell of marijuana came from her purse; we advised her that two employees confirmed that they had in fact been smoking in the room If you have any other questions please give me a call Thank you, *** ***

I am rejecting this response because:The charges of $200 has been credited back to my card, but the $250 charge has not. If there is a $100 incedential charge for the smell of marijuana in the room I will accept the charge because I did have the substance in my purse in a secure container. I believe they she is giving false information. The guest that we’re staying in the room were myself and my spouse, neither of us were passed out in the room with marijuana on the desk. If that was the case the issue should have been addressed at the time of the incident and it wasn’t until the day of checkout. If there is a no smoking policy on site then I should have been told to leave or that charges would be on my card but I wasn’t aware of any of this. I would like to know who the two employees are that witnessed this because as far as I’m concerned the maintenance manager Al cleared my room upon checkout on 9/22/17 in which he stated the room was inspected and cleared of damages and cleared of any odor of smoke or marijuana. She is lying and I would like her to be honest and refund the $250 or if she feels she is being truthful with herself then I approve $100 to be charged but not $250. Thank you.
