Chrysler 300 that he purchased in February.  I was informed by the Sales consultant and Sales Manager that Mr. [redacted] was told at the time of purchase that there was insufficient profit in the vehicle deal to purchase a spare key.  In addition, Mr. [redacted] signed a "we owe' (attached) stating "nothing owed but great service".  If a key were promised, or expected, it should have been noted on this document before being signed by either Mr. [redacted] or a member of dealership management, and as can be seen this was not the case.  My Sales Consultant claims that he did call Chrysler and was informed that the key was on back order and was not available at that time.  We did fail to follow up with the Chrysler dealership and as a result the Sales Consultant has been reprimanded and we send our apologies.  We have customers, from time to time, that claim that we promised them something after the sale when in fact no promises were made, and this is the reason that we have the "we owe" form signed with what we have "promised" listed, In my opinion, If Mr. [redacted] were so concerned about receiving this additional key he would have requested that it be written on this document at the time of purchase, however as I stated above, he was told that we would not be providing him with an additional key and that is why he did not request it be written on this document because he knew we would not be providing one.  Once again, I apologize for my Sales Consultant's not following up with the Chrysler dealership,  and Mr. [redacted], however after looking at the documents that were signed at purchase I feel that we are under no obligation to reimburse Mr. [redacted] for the spare key that he purchased.  As he stated in his complaint we offered to provide him with a spare key at his cost and we are still willing to that should he choose to have us do so.
