Andresky's Three Rivers Landscape & Design Reviews (2)

Review: We had a retaining wall installed in 2009 by the above. The wall is shifting and leaning. The job had a 15 year warranty. Both my husband & I have called repeatedly and left messages and we have both sent emails to the business. We have not got a response and it has been over 2 weeks.Desired Settlement: We would like the wall fixed.

Review: A little bit of background: We purchased our home in April 2013 from another individual, whom had a patio installed in November 2012 from three rivers landscape. We noticed a few months ago that the patio is sinking on the one side, causing the pavers to slant downwards and have gaps in between them. Additionally, the stairs that go up to the patio (which are also pavers) keep coming off and are a hazard to our 2 year old son, or anyone else who tries to walk up the stairs! We have tried multiple times to glue them down with cement glue, and they keep coming loose again. We simply would like the company to fix these issues, before they get worse specifically the shifting of the pavers on the patio. Their website is http://threeriverslandscape.com/, and it states right on the website that All of our hardscapes are guaranteed for 15 years from the date of installation. This patio isnt even 2 years old!!!I attempted to contact [redacted] who is the owner/operator of this business. The number on the website appears to be his direct cell phone, ###-###-####. I called 3-4 times in May and left detailed messages as to what was going on with the patio, and I would like him to come out and look at it. I didnt call at all the first week of June, then the 2nd week on June 10th he actually answered his cell phone (I think it was by accident, he must have forgot what my cell phone number was since I hadnt called for a while!) and I told him I have been trying to get a hold of him to get him out here to look at the patio. He said my name didnt sound familiar, and I told him the other individuals name who we bought the home from and that is who he had dealt with, but we now own the home. Then he commented that the guarantee is with the previous homeowner, and its not like a car where the warranty transfers. I told him that is ridiculous and that the guarantee should be on the product/workmanship itself, and I now own the product! As a side note, the previous homeowner informed us when we were touring the home that the landscaping and patio had a warranty on it (he made no mention of the warranty not transferring, and the business has provided no proof that it doesnt transfer). He said that he would come out that day and look at it. That day came and went, and he never came. I called him again Thur the 12th and left a message, and he called back and left a message on my cell stating that he didnt recall our conversation and that he would come out and look at patio he told me he would be available that day, Friday, or Saturday. I called him back within the hour and he didnt answer, so again I left a message (I feel like in every message I had to repeat the entire story) and I told him that any day would work, just call me back and let me know. Well, he never called back. I called again on Monday the 16th and left a message stating my husband was home that day and I really wanted him to come out that day so he could talk with him while he is here. He never returned my call. Finally, I called him on Tuesday the 17th and said that its obvious he is ignoring my calls. I again reiterated the issues and told him that If I did not hear from him by the end of the week that I would be reporting him to the Revdex.com. Lo and behold, I still have not heard from him. I was very professional in all of my messages to this individual and am very offended that he has not even attempted to resolve the issues at hand. I have no clue how he continues to be in business with this type of unprofessionalism.Desired Settlement: I either would like for him to come and fix the patio/stairs, or to write us a check for the amount it would cost to get this fixed by another company. At this point, I would prefer the latter since I really no longer want anything to do with this guy. However, it would be a lot cheaper for him to just fix it than to pay for supplies/labor to another company. I really do not know how much something like this would cost to fix as this obviously isnt my profession, but I would estimate anywhere from 1500-2500.

Business

Response:

The completed job and warranty were paid for by the previous home owner, [redacted]; therefore making the warranty invalid to Ms. [redacted]. Unfortunately, the warranties do not transfer between owners.

Consumer

Response:

Regardless of who paid for the patio work that was completed, the warranty should be on the product that was installed (the patio)!

[redacted] did not pay an additional fee for a warranty, it is something that the company clearly advertises on their website and has NO mention of warranties not transferring, nor is there any paperwork that states this.
