My appraisal was done on 6/22/15- see attached appraisal not 7/2/15 - there was no rush or time line to complete the job. I did not pay the bill for planting on 7/2/15 this was paid on 7/16/15 check #[redacted] after I met with [redacted] at my house following 3 cancellations. I did tell her about my concerns of being overcharged with no knowledge and she told me she had "ten minutes to talk" and that "no one had ever "questioned her before" She did not come to my house 7 times to let the painter in it was 3 times and I had no knowledge I was being charged $375 dollars - see attached email where she added Fred's invoice onto her letterhead amd added $375.The ceiling was completed on X-XX-XX and did not received a bill until 6/30/15 after multiple requests. Whe I asked her about adding $375 onto his bill she said " I didn't know you could take off work." I said it was not ok. She said the understood and "next time" it would not happen without checking with me first. This was paid on 7/2/15 check number #7453. I did tell [redacted] the yard looked good PRIOR to gettng the invoice that was almost #2000 overthe orginal bid. I did not walke= through adding on items to be completed. Please see attached email stating the cost of painting the house since when the vine was removed it had to be painted. I think at the very least [redacted] should refund $375 for adding this on to the bill of a contractor and putting it on her letterhead. I would have NEVER paid $375 for having her let someone in my house and watching them paint. She did not maintain her own agreement that I signed which states "while the best effrot will be made to obtain your approval prior to a work order change, the on sit naure of the work may demand an immediate decision by the designer." This was not an emergency situation it was planned and scheduled.I have highlighted items that are are concerning to me in the attachement. I also did not know enough about gardening to know that there should be a weed barrier. My neighbors noticed the weeds and told me that was always done.
