In August 2017, I contacted United Van Lines to inquire about a long distance move from Warren OH to Sevierville TN to take place October 13, [redacted] from [redacted] Moving and storage contacted me and we set up a day (August 25, 2017) and time for her to come to my house to give an estimate for our items for the moveShe walked through the house taking notes on the sizes and approximate weight of the items so she could write a contract [redacted] had suggested that I opt for the additional insurance for $for full replacement if any of my items are damaged, lost or destroyed I received and signed the contract September 12, opted for the additional insurance coverage and sent back to the Move coordinator [redacted] We exchanged emails and phone calls a few times during the rest of September asking if delivery dates could be narrowed down more, giving the driver a few more boxes just in case some items needed to be packed differently, etcThey were very accommodati

*** *** *** initially denied this claim based on their initial position that the customer had provided crating services on her own behalf. *** contacted *** to revisit the claim as the third party company that provided crating services was in fact recommended by ***. As
of 2/2/*** agreed to provide a cash settlement for the marble dining table once substantiation of value was provided. Ms*** provided substantiation of value on the on the evening of 2/6/17. We have a message into *** and are awaiting an update from them regarding the outdoor table and lamp. We apologize that this matter has taken this much time to resolve. We plan to have an update from *** tomorrow and intend to have a final resolution at that point. Thank you

I hired *** Moving & Storage to move our home from Ohio To ConnecticutThey broke my outdoor dining table during the move out of OhioThe table was fragileI told the movers not to life the table from the top but to take it apart firstThey did what I told them not to do and the table cracked in halfThey left it sitting in the driveway and I was already in another stateThey broke my heirloom designer marble dining tableThey arranged a company to crate the topWen they delivered and uncrated, the table was broken to piecesThey left the crate in the middle of my garageI am a single mom and could not move itIt is still there months laterI told them about the table and they told me to file a claim with *** ***They denied my claim citing that I chose a 3rd party person not authorized to crate the tableI called to discuss this ridiculous denial and they would hang up on me and wouldn't take my callsI still have not heard from anyone on BOT
