Andy's Statewide provided a service to my air conditioner on August 5th, I have received service on numerous occasions from Andy's Statewide and the repair person always request payment at time of serviceI paid $from my Visa on August 5th for the service and tipped the service person $Today I received a letter stating that I owe $and if I don't pay it's going to a collection agencyWe are in DecemberHonestly I don't recall getting any other letters prior to today but not sure since my wife gets the mailThis is the first time I have ever been threatened with a collection agency and I paid for the service alreadyHow can you send out a letter like this when you always demand payment at the time of service? And send this type of letter to a current customer on file? As many times as I have used Andy's Statewide I was completely unaware that I could get billed for future paymentI thought you always had to pay at time of service? Receiving this letter is complete

Andy Statewide installed our furnace in and serviced it every year since, but recently they were unable to fix a problem after visits, technicians, and new parts Even left us without heat on a Friday night for the whole weekend Told us we needed a warranty part costing $to install We called a Trane service company and they diagnosed the issue in minutes, replaced the part in minutes Goodbye Andy Statewide

I hope the power of this review educates some people to where they will turn elsewhereAndy's Statewide Heating & Air Conditioning was contacted after I had problems with my exhaust motor assemblyThey came promptly at 8am, and I immediately told the technician what I thought the issue wasAfter diagnosing and offering some insight, he told me I looked 'handy', and that all I needed to do was get the part and perform this myself to 'save myself some money'He told me that no matter what the job was, Andy's had a 'set price' for everything, even if it took them minutesThe quote was $for a new fan assembly installed, flat rateImmediately after, he went into how investing that in a 15-year old furnace was not smart, and I should get a new furnaceThis guy used every analogy in the book; dropping an new engine in an old car, body parts going bad because other body parts are compensating for the bad body partSeriously, all he would to for minutes was push a new furnaceI told him no, I'm going the repair routeThen he said the part may be far, he might have to jump through hoops, go across town, etcSo he went in his van, had a smoke, and came back in miraculously telling me the part was miles awayBut still 'ran some numbers' to tell me how affordable a new furnace would be with all of the financing optionsThe sales pitch was HARD folksThat's when the flag went up
Anyhow, the tech left and I called the local repair shop who's sticker was on my furnace for kicksTold them what the tech for Andy's was doing, and asked for a ballpark quoteMeanwhile, Andy's tech got back with the part and went right to worki stood there and watch him quickly remove and drop screws, aggressively trying to get the new part on as quickly as possibleHe clearly was annoyed he didn't get his 'new furnace' commissionAnyhow, I knew I was locked into the $quote at that point, and I took it with stride
The local place literally called me and left me a voicemail that the exact job would have been $out the doorLITERALLY $cheaper than the Andy's 'flat rate' I was given with assertionI could've kicked myself, but I knew it was my fault for not doing more homework first
SO -- I'm writing you this review so that YOU doThis place has one goal, sell you a brand new furnaceIn fact, I'm so convinced that it's the strategy, their repair prices are astronomical just so that they can use the phrase, "Since you're already investing 1/of the cost of a new furnace into this old thing, then why not just save yourself the hassle and get a new one with this wonderful warranty"
I believe in the power of customer reviewsI believe that people read them so they can make an educated decision about their serviceAnd I know I lost $of my hard-earned money to some shady business practicesSo I hope you read this and look elsewhereI know I won't get my $back, but I hope this allows more people to save their money and not use this place
