Andy's Auto Care Reviews (3)

I went to tell him about a brake leak. He could not find the receipt of the work done. The second time he became upset, he said he couldn't find a record of me being there. I took my truck to a dealer and he said it was done wrong as a result he's charging me $2500 to do the same job. Copper was put on my truck which was wrong.

Hello, *** had a truck in our shop for some brake line leakage we replaced the leaking line with ultra bend line that meets O.E. specs and is fairly new to the market place. He came back to shop and stated there . He stated he had . a issue we asked for orginal recipt and he did not have it . He became very angry when we unable to find our recipt we said that we knew we had worked on the truck and offered to tow it in and recheck our repair . He was upset and not communicating well he stated that he didnt want us to know where he lived? Then he stormed out of the building and never made any more contact us. with us not having the hard copy of the bill and no phone number we where unable to reach him after he settled down . We at Andys Auto Care inc have been in busines for 38 yrs and have a great record with customers and the Revdex.com but if we aren t given the chance to resolve the issue what iam I supposed to do? Sincerely

Complaint: ***

I am rejecting this response because:
He wants to tow it in but he can't find the receipt to see what work he did on my car. *** said they had to undo the work that Andy's completed and redo it because it was not done correctly. The repairs were too expensive. I showed Andy my debit card transaction that I paid him. I also provided a copy of the receipt when I filed the complaint. I took a copy of it to Andy's as well. There was a year warranty on the repair and it expired on January 11, 2019. I showed him the information before January 11. I want him to fix the problems but will Andy's make the correct repairs. I just want him to resolve it. The car is in the driveway because it is leaking from the brake line. The car is not drive able. I can ticketed by the police if my car sits too long.

Sincerely

Sent from Mail for Windows 10On 3/16/18, [redacted] had her car towed into our shop for a no start condition, she stated that the car didn't start and it had been jumped started many times.  We charged and checked the battery, it tested good after charging it.  The charging system was...

working properly, and after several starts, we found the starter to be intermittent failing at times, when it did fail we retested current at starter and it was ok thus indicating the starter was at fault.  We replaced the starter and then it was fine.  [redacted] returned on 3/19/18 and said that the battery saver light was on.  We retested the battery and found that it didn't pass the load test.  She was told battery failed test and needed replacement.  The battery is an AGM type battery.  We offered to replace the battery at our cost of $171.90 ($157.91 for battery plus $13.99 tax=$171.90).  The vehicle is four years old and has 87,770 miles on it.  Starters and batteries do fail over time.

I trusted Andy's repair shop to fix my vehicle because I have used them for 17 years. I had an issue with my vehicle's battery and had my vehicle towed there for repair I was told it was not my battery or alternator but my starter. The day I picked my vehicle up it started and I drove it for 15 minutes and had the same problems I took it to the shop for. I was not able to speak with anyone there that day because the were closing as I picked my vehicle up and are closed on the weekend. The following Monday I took the vehicle to them and was told it was the battery and they wanted to charge me more money. I would like my 488.00 refunded to me for the starter so I can ha my vehicle properly repaired.

Complaint: 12744530

I am rejecting this response because:
I advised them it was the battery or alternator by phone and the tow truck driver put the note I wrote explaining that when he dropped it off.
It was towed there because it was free and I wouldn't have to find a ride back home. My vehicle was jumped started 3 times. I was told the put the starter on and then they charged the battery. I'm not a mechanic but a good battery doesn't need to be charged. I believe the vehicle would have started if a new battery was installed first. I had the same issues when I picked the vehicle up but it was 10minutes to close that Friday and when I came back and called that day they were closed. I brought it back their next business day. I didn't need a new starter.
Sincerely
