I rent a house in Muncie Indiana through Network Property ServicesI have lived in this house since August of 2016! I was required to sign the lease a second time if I wanted to stay there another year before I had lived in the house more than monthsTherefore I didn’t know at that point the problems that I would endure in the following yearsThe first incident occurred when the basement started floodingI called network property services many times telling them the basement was flooded and the water wasn’t going downThey did nothing about this and claimed the drain in the floor would drain the waterAbout a month after this I noticed the foundation walls in the basement were severely cracked and were caving inI called network property services and notified them of thisThey assured me it was safe to live there and nothing needed to be doneThey also told me that it was “for basements to flood everytime it rained” Sometime in January-May I came home to an evictio
The company rented me a house that had water leaks and would not repair the water leaks or clean up the moldAfter many complaints repairs were done that did not solve the issueTry's to rent poor maintenanced houses to college students that they know they can take advantage ofTried complaining and talking to the company but the issue was not solved and was treated with poor customer service
I have signed a lease with this company on November 13, 2017, to live in an apartment that starts occupancy on August 8th, I have also paid $dollars for a non-refundable "redecoration fee" that would cover any damages to the apartmentI have since February have let them know that I will not be able to carry out my lease and live in the apartmentThey said these were the requirements to move out:
You need to find someone to take over your lease
You then need to pay a $transfer fee in order to sign the lease over to the person who will take your lease, while signing a lease addendum
The company did not help us and said they will not help us find another tenantThey didn't even make it available online or even if an inquiry by an interested tenant was taken, which is against Indiana law (Nylen vPark Doral Apartments, N.E.2d(IndCtApp1989)), according to my mom's attorneyI actually did find someone who was willing to take over the
We had two sons, one of which I co signed, pay rent to another company, *** *** and they pocked the last rent payment then transferred the property to this company and kept the money while nobody was living there over summerNow this new company will not refund their deposit deposit emailing proof to both companies rent had been paidThe living conditions these college students were sub par if even, the house is now deemed inhabitable and based on what the new rental company says will be torn downThe basement units are closed off, black MOLD everywhere! I co singed for one of my sons and want $deposit back as they lie cheat & steal not to mention subject college students to health hazard living conditions to make a buck!
