Christiana Care Health Systems uses this company to provide anesthesia servicesReceived a bill and began making payments over two months When I tried to make a third payment I was told to call another number without explanation-which turned out to be Prince Parker & Assoca collection agency Judy from PPA told me Anesthesia Svs always send patients to them after days if bill not paid in full-which was never relayed to me by phone or on billing statement After several attempts and messages to clarify this policy with Anesthesia Svs, was not allowed to speak to Manager but secretary who told me it is the policy but said not a written policy when I asked for a copy Secretary was more concerned with how I got Managers name-from the website genius! Was told this was the first complaint they've received-which I told her was a lie, just look at the Revdex.com website!
This is the second time I have gone thru this with Anesthesia Svs-the previous excuse for sending patients to collection agency was that they were switching software programs!
I also Contacted Christiana Care Patient Relations to relay mistreatment of patients

Review: I had my baby this past June. I received one bill approximately three weeks later from Anesthesia Services, PA. The bill dated July 16 listed pending charges that my insurance was still reviewing. I then received my final bill after they had collected their share from my insurance on August 15. I called Anesthesia Services, PA approximately one week after receiving my final bill to see if they could set up a payment plan since the total amount I owed was near $2000. They agreed to my requests and I verbally agreed to pay $500 a month until the balance was paid off. I waited for my $500 bill to arrive the next month and on September 25 I received a phone call from a service representative who asked me to pay the balance or else he would send the account to collections. I said to him that I had called the previous month to set up a payment plan but never received a bill. He then said that they sent out three bills that month alone to me to which I replied I have not received any could you please send me one. The next week I finally received a bill dated September 24 for the total amount.

I paid a portion of my balance on that bill dated September 24. I then received a notice in the mail that my account had been transferred to their collections agency, Prince-Parker & Associates. I called Aesthesia services, PA on October 2 to confirm that my account had been sent to collections and they said that it had because my account was three months past due. However, I only received the first bill on July 15 so it had not yet been three months. I then called the collections agency on October 2 to see what my options were and their representative, named Judy, mentioned that they receive complaints frequently regarding Anesthesia Services, PA agreeing to payment plans and then sending their customers to collections. The collections agency then threated that if I did not pay my bill in full that day that it would affect my credit. I told them that I had already sent in a portion of my payment to Aesthesia Services, PA so I paid the remaining balance in full. I then called Anesthesia Services, PA on October 8 to confirm they had received my partial payment from the bill dated September 24 and they said they had no record of it. I asked repeatedly to speak to a manger about the situation and the representative, named Kiley, said that they were not allowed to transfer me to a manger. I called repeatedly over the next week to complain and confirm they received my partial payment and that the account was paid in full. I was finally transferred to a manager, named Michelle, at phone number 1-800-242-1131 extension number 4620, she never gave me an explanation as to why my account was sent to collections and promised to send me a statement reflecting a zero balance. As of the date of this complaint, November 6, 2013, I still have not received a statement reflecting a zero balance from Anesthesia Services, PA. In fact, one week (October 15) after I received written confirmation of my partial payment on October 8 from their collections agency, I received another bill from Anesthesia Services, PA for the amount of the partial payment that was paid on the September 24 bill.

Due to their lack of proper financial management and poor personnel practices, I had to pay the full amount on one day on my credit card despite being promised a payment plan. This has caused a financial hardship for me. It has also caused unnecessary stress regarding my credit and a large time commitment only three months removed from giving birth to make sure that they confirmed my account was paid in full. I will be checking my credit report in the coming months to ensure no negative marks were placed against me for their repeat mistakes. I have kept my records from Anesthesia Services, PA and their collections agency, Prince-Parker & Associates.Desired Settlement: (1) I want a written explanation as to why my account was sent to collections, (2) a confirmation that my account is paid in full, and most importantly (3) a letter stating that no negative marks were placed against my credit.
