In regard to the complaint made by *** ***
I do not charge anyone in advance, if any customer wants to pay in advance that is fine, I will write on the ticket paid but I DO NOT
charge in advance, I
only charge when customers are picking up
I usually do the alterations in one week from the day the things were dropped offI cannot control when customers are picking up their
stuff
This customer brought in two pairs of pants to have them hemmed and I did the fitting on both pairs and none of the legs on either pair
were ironed to the length he wanted, I put the pins on both pairs
This customer did not come to pick up the pants when they were done but on the 4th of July when I had the shop closed
About a week after 4th of July the customer came in picked up his pants and leftAbout a week later this customer came in the store stating I did not work on the pants and that he wants the money backHe did not have the pants with him but was wearing a pair of pants saying that those are one of the two pairs I did for himI asked him to step on the step for fitting and I will redo the pairs without chargeHe did step on the fitting platform, I looked at the hem but he refused to let me do the fitting,
said he doesn’t want to have the pants redone, again asked for money back and started raising his voice at meI offered again to redo both pairs at no
charge if he brings the pants inHe refused again asking for the money back and telling me that I gave him the pants back without working on themI told
him again that I will redo the pants at no charge if he brings them backThe pants he had on were not the pants I worked on because I recognize my work and the pattern of the sewing machine but I did not tell him that because he was very verbally aggressive and did not want to get into an argument with himThe way he acted, I was afraid for my safetyAt that time I had another customer entering the store (name and contact information on request) and I asked him to stop yelling at me or leave or I will call the police then stepped in the back of the store because I was afraid of his aggressiveness He continued to yell in the store and eventually leftMy other customer remained in the fitting room during this time because she was also afraid of him
The way I’m rated on whatever websites is out of my control, I’ve been in business for more than years and customers are free to share their opinion/ experienceHowever, I have the right to feel safe in my own store and I will not allow to be verbally abused when I know I work hard to keep my customers happyAgain, I am willing to have the pants redone or return the $ (not as he says) back with the provision to call me in advance and have the police present when he comes in the store for his money or pants fitting because I am truly afraid of his aggressiveness
