Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
The statement regarding my daughter admitting she put on the hat of a child who had head lice is an outright falsification. My daughter had stated she was told by a girl at school never to wear another person's hat because she could get head lice. Never did she admit to wearing anything from a child with lice. After several times. Stating to the staff member she had no symptoms and several times going back and firth showing her my Childs head with no lice. I stated "whatever I guess we will just treat it" as the subject was not going anywhere. My child did not have a single symptom, not one. In addition the staff member stated she was a nurse and "diagnosed"  my child which is outside the scope of her practice. What the owner seems to not understand despite having it explained to her several times, is this is a matter of how my child was treated and the situation was handled. A child, a minor, taken out of her party to another room without an adult notified and examined, told she had lice (which she did not even know what lice even is), scared out of her mind, led to believe all was fine and she could to a party and then not even the smallest kindest or understanding kicked out of the salon in front of the party. My child missed a day of scoop due to emotional distress and embarrassment caused by this unprofessional establishment. Apparently training received  does not cover proper evaluation of lice, appropriate handing of a minor and just plan kindness and class. I aim expecting an apology written to my daughter and to mentor how my child was treated from the moment she was directly with your staff member to the end. In addition, the unprofessional staff response to a customer complaint as well as the managers outright refusal to call back is beyond unprofessional. Owning a business does not mean you know how to actually treat customers. This owners desperate attempt to be. blind to the actual complaints here are concerning. We understand risk and liability, despite insisting my child does not have lice. It appears the staff member heard the word lice nothing else anyone said. And beyond a Registered Nurse in [redacted] with over ** years experience [redacted] me with
actual clinical expertise and experience to advise your staff when they are wrong.  The issue here is improper handling of a minor, inappropriate self-diagnosing, and overall handling of the situation with no regard to sensitivity for the child. I have found several complaints regarding how children have been treated at this establishment and am shocked it has been allowed to continue open. I expect minimum a letter of apology and actual education specifically about the signs and symptoms as well as evaluation of lice may be something you should consider due to current education not being sufficient. You can spout licenses all you want and liability, but the issues is improper education of your staff and outright appalling handling of a minor as well as horrible customer service.
Regards,
Kristin [redacted]

all required to keep current licenses which do include having current continuing education every two years. My whole staff has just completed the necessary continuing education for this period that is due by March 31st 2017. We have been all trained in the knowledges of what regulations we must abide by. At our salon we are very pro active on all sanitary measures to ensure this highest standard of safety and protection for all of our guests. This incident that occurred on March 5th, 2017 is just an example of how we as licensed Cosmetologists have to take precautions to ensure the regulations and sanitary measures to protect others and ourselves have to be.  The child openly admitted in front of the mother and my Cosmetologist that she, the child indeed put on a hat  of a child that had head lice!
