On May 15, 2015, I purchased a replacement windshield from Angel Auto Glass for $ I was happy with the price; however, on February 29, while I was driving my Jeep Grand Cherokee on the freeway, the rubber window strip above my windshield came off (3/way) and was thumping on my roof until I ended up opening my moon roof to let piece of strip inside Once I got back into Humble (after driving miles with miles with rubber strip hanging in my car) I stop at Angel's to get it fix as it shouldn't of happened I understand things happen, but did what anyone else would of done and go back to the place that installed the windshield The employee behind the desk didn't say anything, no welcome, no acknowledgment, he didn’t even move from behind the monitors to asks me if I have the receipt? I told him I didn't have the receipt with me and I asked was it necessary just to add adhesive, glue or what ever you call it to get the rubber reattached to my windshield, he said yes I had to have the receipt and told me to call Angelo (***) then get the receipt He didn't even give me a business card to call Angelo, I had to get it at the end of the desk On my way home to get the receipt, I called Angelo as instructed and his answer was to pay $to get the rubber reattached or find the receiptI asked that I filled out the entire receipt with my name, address and phone number when I purchased the windshield so why don’t they have it on file in their computer system, he stated that they don't do it that way and started talking about how people have scammed them for things like this and that you have to have a receipt to return anything to [redacted] , [redacted] or [redacted] and that he has to pay his employee minutes for the job I wasn't asking for a refund, but to get my trim fixedSo I still don't understand why I had to call Angelo before returning with the receipt, when I was already heading home to get it (confussed)I found the receipt amongst my taxes and headed back to Angel Auto Glass I walk in and no-one look at the receipt that I had to have The guy at the front desk just walked into another room and this other guy comes out and ask for the keys After minutes he came back and gave me my keys back and told me to remove the tape after two days He did apologize, but he was the only one that didOnce I returned home, I wrote a negative feedback about the company on [redacted] about their customer service and how the situation was handled and no more than minutes later, Mr [redacted] called SCREAMING at me as to why I left a bad review I tried to explain to him on why, but he kept screaming at me to the point I hung up on himI then walked out to my jeep and noticed that only 3/of the strip that came loose was fixed leaving a gap between the jeep and the windshield and from the one side of the trim to the side that they fixed So I posted my concerns about their workmanship and on why was the strip was not completely removed and reinstalled as to possibly faulty adhesive from the original installThe next day I took my Jeep to [redacted] **to have the repair work done They did the repairs without charge, issues or comments I then drop anything else dealing with Angel Auto Glass, no post, no feedback, no nothing, untilI get a [redacted] Message from Angelo [redacted] (3/2/7:22am) with a threatening message, stating: "I can put a bad reviews for your business too for example don't buy [redacted] from angry man .may be next time be nice the people help you more we review the camera I am sorry you acting very bizarre I can show you"Mr [redacted] wasn’t even at the office when this all happened so I don't understand how I was bizarre as I didn't yell, I didn't scream, I didn't throw anything, didn't slam my hands down But to be told to pay for the repair of $for a faulty item (price from Mr***) and that he would refund the money once I found the receipt was upsetting as I’ve had this Jeep since and had hundreds of car washes without any prior issues To be told that car washes are the issue is not acceptable as we all wash our carsI complied with their requirements of getting the receipt; However, to be YELLED at by the owner of the company and treated like I was a lier is unacceptable I've sent clients to them for windshield repairs and to be treated this way is not good customer service, unprofessional and to be threatened, WOW!! On May 15, 2015, I purchased a replacement windshield from Angel Auto Glass for $196.25. I was happy with the price; however, on February 29, 2016 while I was driving my Jeep Grand Cherokee on the freeway, the rubber window strip above my windshield came off (3/4 way) and was thumping on my roof until I ended up opening my moon roof to let piece of strip inside. Once I got back into Humble (after driving 146 miles with 129 miles with rubber strip hanging in my car) I stop at Angel's to get it fix as it shouldn't of happened. I understand things happen, but did what anyone else would of done and go back to the place that installed the windshield. The employee behind the desk didn't say anything, no welcome, no acknowledgment, he didn’t even move from behind the 3 monitors to asks me if I have the receipt? I told him I didn't have the receipt with me and I asked was it necessary just to add adhesive, glue or what ever you call it to get the rubber reattached to my windshield, he said yes I had to have the receipt and told me to call Angelo ([redacted]) then get the receipt. He didn't even give me a business card to call Angelo, I had to get it at the end of the desk. On my way home to get the receipt, I called Angelo as instructed and his answer was to pay $39.00 to get the rubber reattached or find the receipt. I asked that I filled out the entire receipt with my name, address and phone number when I purchased the windshield so why don’t they have it on file in their computer system, he stated that they don't do it that way and started talking about how people have scammed them for things like this and that you have to have a receipt to return anything to [redacted], [redacted] or [redacted] and that he has to pay his employee 30 minutes for the job. I wasn't asking for a refund, but to get my trim fixed. So I still don't understand why I had to call Angelo before returning with the receipt, when I was already heading home to get it (confussed).
I found the receipt amongst my 2015 taxes and headed back to Angel Auto Glass. I walk in and no-one look at the receipt that I had to have. The guy at the front desk just walked into another room and this other guy comes out and ask for the keys. After 10 minutes he came back and gave me my keys back and told me to remove the tape after two days. He did apologize, but he was the only one that did.
Once I returned home, I wrote a negative feedback about the company on [redacted] about their customer service and how the situation was handled and no more than 10 minutes later, Mr. [redacted] called SCREAMING at me as to why I left a bad review. I tried to explain to him on why, but he kept screaming at me to the point I hung up on him.
I then walked out to my jeep and noticed that only 3/4 of the strip that came loose was fixed leaving a gap between the jeep and the windshield and from the one side of the trim to the side that they fixed. So I posted my concerns about their workmanship and on why was the strip was not completely removed and reinstalled as to possibly faulty adhesive from the original install. The next day I took my Jeep to [redacted]. to have the repair work done. They did the repairs without charge, issues or comments. I then drop anything else dealing with Angel Auto Glass, no post, no feedback, no nothing, until...
I get a [redacted] Message from Angelo [redacted] (3/2/2016 7:22am) with a threatening message, stating:
"I can put a bad reviews for your business too for example don't buy [redacted] from angry man .may be next time be nice the people help you more . we review the camera I am sorry you acting very bizarre I can show you".
Mr. [redacted] wasn’t even at the office when this all happened so I don't understand how I was bizarre as I didn't yell, I didn't scream, I didn't throw anything, didn't slam my hands down. But to be told to pay for the repair of $39.00 for a faulty item (price from Mr. [redacted]) and that he would refund the money once I found the receipt was upsetting as I’ve had this Jeep since 2004 and had hundreds of car washes without any prior issues. To be told that car washes are the issue is not acceptable as we all wash our cars. I complied with their requirements of getting the receipt; However, to be YELLED at by the owner of the company and treated like I was a lier is unacceptable. I've sent 3 clients to them for windshield repairs and to be treated this way is not good customer service, unprofessional and to be threatened, WOW!!
Mr. [redacted], Issues happen and nothing is perfect, but it’s how you, the business owner handles the issues at hand. All this, just for a simple repair. You haven't apologized for the situation as your company installed the windshield and the strip, made me run home to get the receipt as you didn't trust me, two grueling phone calls, then not completely repairing the strip causing me to go to another company, threatening me and you put all the blame on me, the customer.
You are in a customer service profession as am I, customers are going to get upset when things fail, you don't blame them for the issues, you fix them and deal with the reason later on or change your process.
I have pictures of everything on the Jeep, including the [redacted] Message if needed.
