Review: I've worked with Angel C Construction in the past. They've done work on my building renovations. In the past two weeks, [redacted] contacted me about possibly doing some more work, as he was in need of a job. [redacted] and a driver drove me to the job location, he quoted me $7000 for the job, which entailed replacing a kitchen. He drew up the kitchen design, and asked me or a $2000 deposit. The deposit, he said, was required for him to buy supplies. As I worked with him in the past, I had no reason to doubt his word. The check was cashed. I haven't heard from him since, he was supposed to show up over a week ago. He hasn't answered any of my calls or texts or emails. I don't know what to do, I would like him to do the work, or just return the money. He also asked me for $3500 for decking materials, but I had already given him $2000. No work has been done, and he has essentially stopped all communication as of May [redacted], 2014.Desired Settlement: A refund of my deposit: $2000.
